Hey all,
Sorry if this has been covered before, but if I happen to stumble on these remasters in a record shop, is there a way to tell the difference between the f'd up remasters from 2008 and the newly corrected ones from 2009?

Hey all,
Sorry if this has been covered before, but if I happen to stumble on these remasters in a record shop, is there a way to tell the difference between the f'd up remasters from 2008 and the newly corrected ones from 2009?
what if you find them used and they don't have the slipcases? is there a number to look for or something specific about them?
That's probably answered somewhere in this thread. You'll have to dig through it yourself and find specifics.
So the best way to grab the rite one is by looking closely at the digipak spine - the "re-re" has the words 'Reissue c.2009' amongst the usual info.
found that
Further to this, I notice that on Amazon UK the Collectors' Editions listed for Technique and Brotherhood are from June 2009, but Movement, PCL and Lowlife are from September 2008.
For none of the albums are more than one issue of the Collectors' Editions listed, as far as I can see.
As far as I can tell all the packaging is the same, both editions exist in the UK with and without plastic slipcases and the printwork wasn't changed.
The only way to spot the difference is to look at the run-outs of the second discs (this refers to the UK editions).
Movement: 2 V01 (original) / 2.2 V02 (revised) PCL: 2 V01 (original) / 2.2 V02 (revised) Low Life: 2.2 V02 (original) / 2.3 V02 (revised) Brotherhood: 2 V01 (original) / 2.3 V02 (revised) Technique: 2 V01 (original) / 2.2 V02 (revised)
I'm guessing with Movement and Technique as I don't actually have the fixed ones of those as yet, however it'll be a variation of what I've put.
Of course, none of this helps if you're buying online, though you'll know which ones to send back.
