Does anyone know of a good source for a quality t-shirt with UP artwork? They have a ton of bootlegs here in NYC, but the quality of the screen looks like it was taken from a 30th generation photocopy.

Are they selling any merchandise at the UP gigs or just his book?

try BlueCatStore.com - they used to advertise on here - I've gotten NO shirts from them and they've been good quality, so I'd say the JD ones must be too. And look, they now have UP underwear. Hooray.

Most are out of stock :\ohwell:

has anyone tried making their own or got any graphics etc to print them onto tshirts?

Is it supposed to look "high quality"?

All the shirts and posters I've seen have that degraded look. The old Warsaw bootleg looked like that also, maybe shirts copied that bootleg.

Check eBay, they always have something.

From memory and I could be wrong but I think Hooky was selling the ones with Joy Division Unknown Pleasures text in bold caps - prefer the image on its own personally

I'd be tempted to make a shirt with the updated design from Saville's book. Anyone done that?

Got 1 of Hooky's gig tee - it is pretty good, i mean the visuals...the tee quality is just so-so but the graphics is excellent. The 'waves' are slightly raised/embossed due to thick ink printing and it has additional wording 'Manchester England'at the bottom which def sets it apart from the millions of bootleg tees. The best part is (if you buy the white tee) the text behind the tee - stating tour dates & cities etc....def collectible :thumb:

Here's a link for the fac51hacienda site's shop (it's official, btw). Scroll down for the t-shirts.

 Cheers!!! I hate giving money to bootleggers when it's an inferior product.

Oooooh! I hope they have ones designed specifically for the US tour, like they did in '05. Can't wait to see the NY show this friday!!!

If you can find one, on the 1998 shows there was a black JD shirt entitled "Joy Division. Forever." which had a variant of the UP artwork on black - largely a distressed 3-d barcode style representation of the UP Starburst.

I used to have one that looked identical to the vinyl layout with just the small image on the front and all text on the back. Not sure if it was an official shirt, but it looked awesome with an unbuttoned jacket since the image wasn't too large.
