Think this an underrated Joy Division song in my opinion. It's one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.
Ian's lyrics and singing, Barney's guitar solo, Hooky's bassline and Steve's drums, creates a wonderful melody in this song.
John Frusciante and Mody adore this song. It's on my top 5 JD.

I've been listening to this a lot lately too.
The live versions are mental. Ian doesn't sound human when his voice is breaking during thewe'll give you everything and more part.

Spot on. Though 'Unknown Pleasures' is an unique record, 'New Dawn Fades' would of benefitted with the more 'live' production sound of 'Closer', rather than the more restrained, yet innovative production of its predecessor. The live version on 'Still' brings the bass up further to the fore, which highlights how the band changed their sound for what was to be their final year.
