The Spring/ Summer 2011 Issue of Arena Homme Plus marks the inauguration of Max Pearmain as editor and chief, and Ashley Heath as editorial director. Previously severing as POP magazine menswear editor Max Pearmain felt the men’s fashion magazine world has become staid and predictable stating “It was actually more inspiring in many way fifteen years ago when there was just L’Uomo, Vogue Homme and Arena Homme Plus… We wanted to inject some surprise and some passion and some playfulness back into this world.” Pearmain himself styled Stephen Morris from New Order while Steven Klein provided the photography. This issue marks also the return to ’special sections’ in the limited edition version of the Stephen Morris cover which provide an additional 45 pages of “hardcore” content. With fashion contribution from the likes of Arena Homme veterans David Sims, and Steven Klein, while Collier Schorr, Ari Marcopoulos, and Wolfgang Tillmans see themselves rounding out the contributors list, this issue may be as robust of a printed publication we have seen in recently. This issue will hit newsstands April 11 in the UK and April 18th for the rest of the world. It will also be available online.

He can actually be part of the cast of Law & Order Special Victims Unit :shades:

They've made him look like a particularly nasty east-end gangster, that you really wouldn't want to get on the 'wrong side of' or he'd rearrange your body parts with his tank!

To me Pic 1 makes him look like a golf-loving dahling and Pic 2 makes him look like Gene Hunts much harder brother.

Blimey. How not to look comfortable in a photo.

He looks like a Kays Catalogue model.

One who's had a stroke. :\ohwell:

Ye I can't believe how after being a star (of sorts) for most of his life he still looks so nervous all the time!

I've seen Steve looking uncomfortable on many occasions but this is top of the uncomfortable pops! :thumb:

He looks to me like someone who has just been informed that New Order are getting back together again..

Or that the interviewer wants to talk about what the chances of that happening are? Again.

Good interview, as it goes.

And plenty of other snaps, including some family pics, all four of them in the front room. Last time I saw the two girls, they were toddlers pottering around Adelaide Airport on the Get Ready tour. Now they're proper teenagers, or there abouts, and growing up fast.

New Other Two stuff is being recorded and will probably come out as a few EPs, expect something soon. Steve is writing a book, which apparently, is coming along well.

Plus a nice little feature on the excellent Factory Floor, who Steve has produced.

£6 but worth picking up.

A book about several decades of being a widely-respected professional rock musician....or a lurid novel about a German tank commander taking belated revenge for WWII by ravaging the Cheshire plains in a Panzer?

It's so cool to see Gillian playing a keyboard again!

is that the same Roland that Phil has been playing at NO and BL gigs? Looks like it, right down to the green tape.

Always wondered why Gillian didn't play keyboards with NO at the few awards shows they played in their last year together, where she was there with them. I am thinking of the one where they performed Regret and LWTUA.

A dalek, a cyberman, and bad lieutenant's bassist's bass.

Think you meant God Like Genius NME Awards Ceremony from February 17th, 2005.

What is that on Steve's hair? Glue? :evil4:

I'll buy that.

Must admit poor old Steve does look a tad er, tense in these photos though  there's something distinctly Bond villain-esque going on there "Ahhhh Mr Hook, I have been expecting you (and your legal team)"

Good to see/read that new Other Two material is on the way. I think they'll find that there's a fairly faithful bunch on here who will buy it automatically, myself included.

Also good to see Mr Starkey going mental over keyboards being mentioned in an article

All is well with the world.

A Dalek on vocals? Maybe on bass also? Cool! :hat:

why did the photographer make him look so purposefully ghoulish, between the no smiling policy and plasticky makeup, slicked hair, etc?

is this some new fashion photography trend?
