new compilation - TOTAL

Well, it looks like another useless new "best of" anthology/compilation is being released on June 6. This one's called "TOTAL - from Joy Division to New Order." It features an unreleased New Order track called "Hellbent" (from the WFTSC sessions I am guessing?). New Order are apparently in a race with The Smiths to have most number of best of/singles compilations. Details at Amazon and Recordstore.co.uk.

Parris Wakefield just tweeted the artwork.

From Video 586 (1997) and Total (2011), I liked only two pieces of NO cover art: International (2002) and WFTSC (2005): in both cases it was all graphics and color.

Get Ready era releases reminded me of The Smiths imagery, and WFTSC singles were plainly boring, and there were too realist Retro and skeleton Singles.
