Hi everyone - I know feelings are mixed about the whole concept of this EP, but to my ears its a cracking release; and I put it down to Rowetta's vocal performance.

Her take on New Dawn Fades is wonderful and she gives the song all the passion and respect it deserves, with a strong and resonant delivery. Its the standout, followed by Atmosphere - listen for the 'People like you find it easy' verse as a good example.

On Atmosphere I also really enjoyed the new guitar pitch bends, adding extra dimension to a song that for me has always been a chill-down-the-spine experience.

Yep - got it yesterday, hence the commentary. The site says something about download problems, but it was all OK from here - probably because you lot were in bed, freeing up the Internet for those of us downunder.

Site problems were due to an overload of traffic yesterday, spikes as they are known and have now been addressed.

Our web people who are very good advised that it was better to be honest about a slow-down and server difficulties rather than covering it up. The problems lasted a couple of hours in total (no pun intended).

Downtime was no longer than 15 minutes.

No real problems reported with any online ordering as yet.

I agree with all your comments. Having seen the Atmosphere and PIMM videos, I listened to New Dawn Fades first and it was quite a shock to hear Rowetta's vocals at first but a pleasant one as it turned out.

A fantastic EP and wonderful tribute to the band/material/Ian. Rowetta sounds GREAT.

Not doing it for me... The instrumental tracks are nice in a rather over-polished way, but the vocals just don't sit right somehow... To be honest, I still can't quite accept that this is for real... An odd thing to listen to on May 18th...
