Yep - 2 full pages some old photos and some interesting comments

But will they reform for more shows - Hooky "He's mad at me for playing unknown pleasures on my own yest his new band plays JD and NO tracks'

Gillian - " if you don'r agree with 3 other people its going to be hard to sort it out but Stephen and I never say never"

Bernard - "there are many bridges to build, If one person wants to tour 30 dates and earn as much money as possible and the other wants to do 10 dates to retain their sanity - it causes friction.

So - no ones saying no and their seems to be a feeling in their interviews that they are coming to terms with each others views and ways. Fir example Hooky says 2 you need a Henry Kissinger figure to sort us out or at least someone to bang our heads together"

Its an interesting interview and I will post a link if I can find an online version

Bernard - "there are many bridges to build, If one person wants to tour 30 dates and earn as much money as possible and the other wants to do 10 dates to retain their sanity - it causes friction."

Surely, the answer to that is for New Order to do 10 dates, and for the rest of the year let Hooky & The Light tour Joy Division albums?

If only life was that simple! :spit:

I wonder what the article is all about. What has a possible reunion to do with it?! For the sake of (having) a reunion I don't get the idea ... but that's me ...

To generate interest in Total - the new album with both JD and NO tracks

:read: Interesting quotes.

That seems encouraging - at least, the rancor between them seems less. Used to be Bernard wouldn't even hint at what the issue was between them.

Article from my local newspaper yesterday. It could be an old recycled interview but this part stood out for me.

Stangely enough,Peter Hook and The Light haven't been booked to play at any festivals in England this summer. Is this some sort of campaign against him? PH : I don't know,it's quite bizarre,I was thinking that maybe they want me and Bernard to make up and reform New Order, and they're holding on until we do that. But I really don't have a clue.

As for the chances of that happening:

PH : Nah,we fell out big time after the last tour and things have probably gotten worse if anything.

Didt buy it, understand Gillian and her sisters were page 3:love2:

As for getting back together, Hooky split em up, Hooky put em back together... someone needs to tell him how.

Interesting quotes from Hooky in the Sun of all places -

"For Get Ready we had a very good relationship...We were very unified. But what unravelled was that Bernard didn't want to play live again. I now realise it's not worth making someone do something they don't want to do. Then with the final album I was having problems with drinking. Once I got sober,I realised there were too many things I didn't agree with,I like the songs on Sirens but I don't like the production.Bernard thought we needed outside producers so we'd stop arguing but arguing was just passion I think. But it went slowly and desperately downhill from there."

The Other Two "Never say never".

But Bernard reckons there are still too many bridges to be built before a reunion could be considered.

I thought Hooky was being realy honest in this, talking about his problems with drugs and later drinking. Fair play to him.

I reckon if they can put aside their personal challenges, something could happen!

Agreed, and he avoids criticising his fellow band mates but instead examines his own failings.

It's got bally all to do with a promo push for the latest drecky compilation - more, me thinks, to do with the fact that the band secretly have just realised that it is THIRTY YEARS SINCE MOVEMENT WAS RELEASED.

Maybe this could be the reason that a reunion could yet materialise: so they could perform FACT 50 live in its entirety (not that difficult a job all told - they're not exactly ROBERT SMITH and THE CURE are they???).

So that's a 37 minute live show to possibly look forward to then! ;)

Well, the only way to do that is to upload the resulting scanned images to a website (e.g. Imageshack).

Afterwards, copy the link to the image (in the case of Imageshack, right-click in the box next to where it says "Direct Link" and select "copy"). The link should begin with "http://" and end with ".jpg".

Now, when you reply to one of these messages, there's an "image" button - click on this and then right-click and select "paste" - this (in theory!) copies the location of the image to the box. Click "OK" and there you go! :)

I don't see the point in the band promoting another 'Best Of' collection of this stuff. Maybe the only good thing is that kids will discover the band(s) finally. For the fans of the first hour: we already have this music in multiple forms (except one or two tracks maybe). I hope for everybody that the tracks are better remastered than Singles, I don't know. But in my humble opinion, the best thing that can happen to the group is to leave them alone. I'll be fine with it.
