Is it just me, or does Total contain re-recorded versions of Crystal and Krafty? Just saying like...

the originals came from the disastrously mastered get ready and wtfsc albums.

as i've stated elsewhere total is the best sounding new order release ever so i think what you are hearing is for the first time ever a properly mastered version of both those tracks.

I've heard that the version of Perfect Kiss 7" wasn't released in a cd previously, but what about the one on the Singles one?

Singles had the Low Life album version.

Oh. Wow. I had no idea the remastering was THIS good! I stand corrected!

Anybody know if Total will be released in the US?

This is one of the reasons whY I get so fucked off with the Warners/London tossers.... they keep reissuing the same compilaton over and over again with one fucking carrot dangling on the stick which is the promise of better quality remastered versions. So WHY THE FUCK DID THEY NOT DO IT PROPERLY FIRST TIME OUT WITH RETRO, THEN INTERNATIONAL, THEN, FAILING THAT, SINGLES, THEN, FAILING THAT...... AAAAAAAAAAAARGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!

They honestly expect some fans to be stupid enough to keep buying the same reissue with a different title and different white cover until they get the best masteterd versions of the songs that should have fucking well been done properly in the first place?

Who could forget those remastered Factory Years abominations of their albums (and crummy vinyl sourced extra CD2 tracks - that didn't amount to much anyway as they werent completely definitive)

The fleecing swindling fucking con-merchants!!!

i read that this album was the band seizing the last opportunity to take their music to a wider audience (outside of the fanbase) whilst there is still a physical music business.

if the fans buy it too then great. but you seem quite self important there !

Please forgive me for that incoherent rant... it's so unlike my character. I'm a happily married peace-loving dog-cuddling sort really......

But I still think their record company suck cocks in hell!

Even Echo And The Bunnymen - my favourite band - aren't treated in such a shoddy manner with their catalogue......and they shared the same record company too!

I've read something more like that it's the last opportunity for the record company to make money while there's still a market of any sorts, but Barney said it and what does he know, he doesn't remember anything these days.

You sure about that?

CD sales are dying by the day, when HMV go I can see the physical CD, as a mainstream product, disappear altogether (in the UK).

Well, it's a slight edit of the album version. I haven't heard this particular edit before, it is like the US/FBN 7" edit, and the same length, but not identical.

At 2:07 at 2:51 (on the Total version), there are different edits.
