Dress code for celebrating New Order?

Last night I was standing in the queue to a burlesque show in KCMO, when a girl came up to me asking if I'm a New Order fan. Of all places and bands!.. Yes, of course, I am, big time. "But why", I asked her. "Cuz you're wearing a white suit", she said. So? That did not make any sense, real bizarre. She said that is how people celebrate their birthdays or something in April. Whose birthdays? Sumner's Hook's? No answer. Then we chatted about the warmth of old syntesizers, Depeche Mode and the genius of Tupac.

So can anyone make any connection between NO and white suits? Barney never wore one.

Although how the fuck that would lead somebody to make the connection is beyond me.

Unless it was just some mental person who really does think White Suit = Hooky = New Order Fan and by the law of averages it was just your turn to be spotted.

Either that or you were off your nut/making it up.
