The site tends to get quite a lot of people joining up to advertise phones etc and idiots that just want to rant about busses!
How about a New Order test!
10 random questions, you need a pass rate of 70% to be able to post.
I'm sure anyone that really wants to be on here wouldn't mind looking up the answers, any that does could bugger off and advertise/rant somwhere else.

True but it might not be enough to stop the idiots that come here to rant about busses!
Frankly, the web site as a whole is in need of a drastic overhaul. It's outdated technology (2002-3) but an upgrade won't be happening any time soon. I speak as a moderator as well. Spotnick is the site owner but he is not always here and undoubtedly (as with all of us) has more important stuff going on his life.
I clear up most of the spam from here, Ceremony and MFP and it's a thankless task. To be honest most modern web forums would not allow this type of stuff to be posted in the first place. Not to mention some of the more highly offensive and racist remarks we've had from certain "members" over the years. Thankfully most of them have fucked off or been told to fuck off but occasionally the odd nutter still pipes up looking for attention.
The problem is - let me be a truth sayer - New Order is no more. NOOLers die, too. Some get old and cranky... We're in the end of the tunnel. And although we fight it, we get further and further away from our roots.

Agree about asking some questions, but this one is a bit easy. A question about BL or Freebass would test em more,

You could use screenshots from various videos and ask which one they're from, though that imposter Ian in TPK still gives me nightmares to this day.

Depends on who poses the questions, though. With respect, some of the trainspotter-esque knowledge that gets bandied about on here baffles even me, a fan of twenty years (which is, er, three whole albums).
How exclusive do you want memebership to be?
I agree one question, rotated if you want, would be sufficient. Based on other sites that do similar a typical question could be "What colour did Everything Go?"
Spambots wont get past that.
