Channel 4 teletext (UK) reports the Box Set, as yet untitled, will be released on November 4th, although I can't confirm the year.....ha ha.
Seriously, looks like Nov 4th 2002 is the date, will it happen? I seem to remember this should have been released in 1998, so only 4 years late then!

We're just setting ourselves up for disillusionment (is that a word?). Looking for a real box set with rarities, live materials, outtakes, etc... can only lead to heartache and mental institutions. If they did one, it will probably contain every track from "Rest Of" and 18 different mixes and live versions of BLT, which will cause an uproar of magmatic (not a word) proportions... but of course I would still buy it... as would you all...
It looks like they missed the best opportunity to release this box set idea - in 1999. There was so much aboiut it in the music papers then, and then nothing..... I have a gut feeling that any version of it now can only be a disappointment on the same lines of the last two compilations. Why on earth did they never just do a Substance Volume Two: 12 singles, picking up where the last one left off.? Wouldn't that have been a better idea?

The set could have so much potential. Potential for joy, potential for pain. We lie in wait for the inevitable event that constantly sits on the cusp of a great wave... that will probably never crash the shores of England let alone the US. Oh well, it is nice to hope.
what will Saville come up with for the extended format? the Heart and Soul box looked nice but i hope the NewOrder set looks a little more in line with the historic, Saville designs.
