To be honest, the top 10 itself isn't too dissimilar to what we'd achieve here if everyone had their vote.

  1. Ceremony
  2. Bizarre Love Triangle
  3. True Faith
  4. Temptation
  5. Age of Consent
  6. Regret
  7. Crystal
  8. The Perfect Kiss
  9. Confusion
  10. Dreams Never End

#15 before anything off Technique, sounds about right :thumb:

There's only three that I would argue shouldn't appear in a top twenty, though there are more than 3 that I would have in my top 20 that aren't there. Think that's fairly representative (but where did 60mph come from?).

Well this kinda thing is so subjective it's asking for troub. All I'll say is... BM 88 not the original? Let's be honest, that mix was a cheap compromise, a stop-gap between TBTHOG and Technique, with all the balls of the original swamped in clichéd discopop FX. Even London managed better with the 95 mix, and it's friggin' rare to hear much positive about those '95 ripoffs! Ask Van Helden. State of the Nation? Hardly their finest moment. Round and Round at 38? I reckon it's one of their best singles, certainly turned me onto the band, check out the 12"! AFTER Senses, one long turgid drawn-out yawn. World shouldn't be in there at all, it may have strong lyrics but musically it's sub-MTO. Perfect Kiss in twice??? I could go on but...

I really like 'Brutal'.

Perfect Kiss isn't in twice, it's in once. Obviously the computer compiling the list isn't the only one blind to this error.

I think Al's point is that it's somewhat surprising that the top 10 seems to be pretty much how it would appear if a poll was taken today amongst the 'ardcore. The order would vary obviously but I don't think the content would.

I take it this is based on number of 'plays'? If so it would appear that the 'casual fan' seems to have better taste than we'd probably all have assumed.
