It is the greatest piece of music ever and always will be.

I dislike labeling... but if you forced me to answer the question of the most important/favourite album, over the last 28 years, I would always say Closer. It's just so huge. Changed how I looked at other music.

I first bought and listened to Closer when i was 15, early 1984. I found it shall we say, difficult at first.And for quite a while after really. As Simpson says stuff like Atrocity Exhibition and Colony are fairly brutal and unforgiving. Think i listened to side 2 much more than side 1.Got more into it some years later around 1987, it worked better for me then,rarely listen to it these days though.

It didn't change the way i looked at or listened to music because Power, Corruption & Lies had already done that for me.
