It may as well be to me, I've never listened far enough into it to hear the lyrics cos it's so shit!

Nearly went for elegia but it had to be let's go as I love playing the bass line, can't play elegia on 4 string, too skint for a 6 string.

Erm,Skullcrushed,you forgot to put Skullcrusher on your list,aswell as the Salvation Theme,Sputnik...

Elegia as it's simply one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever. It gets me every time.

Alright, alright, I admit it, my list is shit! It was a spur of the moment thing, it was never going to be comprehensive. Besides, I never really think of Skullcrusher as an instrumental because I always think back to the Barcelona '84 version which has Barney's improv'ed lyrics in it.

I never really liked Elegia - it has no beat, kinda marrs the punk of Low-life.

From the New Order stable, always Don't Do It for me. Absolutely love that track.

Never really understood the high regard folk have for Elegia, nor indeed for the clamour for the even-more drawn-out version of said track.

Having said that, I know someone who named his daughter after it, so there you go.

I'll third it, Free Will is a great track. I also agree and have voted for Don't do it.

I like Elegia thoough sets up the b sdie nicely. And while we are on the Lowlife subject not sure why there has been negative comments recently about its b side. All great tracks particulary Sooner than You Think and face up.

STUT is one of my faves.

I think Low Life is sublime all the way through and Elegia fits in just fine as a sombre beginning to the B side,if only they could write something as good as that now,I also love Sooner Than You Think for it's A Vocal performance, B High hat action, C Bassline and D Guitar playing towards the end.

I agree. Vocoder vocals count. As should Gillians lead vocal on Avalanche.

I love Elegia and feel it contributes to the varied character (rich tapestry?) of Low-Life.

The Peter Saville Soundtrack might get my vote on a different day though as I haven't played it to death over the years like Low-Life.

Don't Do It

Don't Do It for sure - a sinister Kraftwerk homage if anything....and of course, outside of NO, it's got to be the very fine Monaco track Sedona...... which is actually a sort of superior rewrite of Elegia obviously!! :)

Elegaia is the beginning of the end. LowLife is great, but only the first half for me. Instrumentally, I always like Lucky Bag, especially the Miami Edit.

Soundtrack worth a place on the list surely?

Always thought that with a bit of work YSF would make a majestic instrumental.
