On one hand, I love Peter Hook. On the other hand, this feels like the exact nostalgia-driven wringing out more dollars that we used to despise in the New Wave set.

Except this one was for charity (if memory serves me correctly)?

I think the NOOLer "condemnation" had something to do with this release or possibly he's with the record label, Pylon. The proceeds went to victims of the floods at the start of the year in Oz? The vinyl edition has some tracks not on the CD.

Funny this should come up. I just bought a copy last week. There was a limited double CDR release of another UP show, but I didn't buy it because the track separation was off, and it was way too expensive for a CDR. I was glad when I heard about this release.

It's only been out since the end of May. Its a fairly low key release and it's not Hooky putting his hand out at all.

I often reminisce about nostalgia.

At any rate, I saw Hooky on the UP tour and the CD makes a nice souvenir. Plus I'm a longtime fan of Mr. McCarter's work anyhow.

So are you going to the Closer show at the Paradise or will you be yelling at the kids to get off your lawn? :D
