Just had an email informing me that New Order will appear as guests on the Mark & Lard show on R1 on 24th September. Don't know if this is just a chat (they have box sets and DVDs to promote, lest we forget) or if they will be performing. Either way, its nice to think of them brightening up the aural hell of daytime Radio 1, and even nicer given the minimal airplay given to recent singles......

Mark and Lard are just great - every show of theirs puts a huge grin on my face. Have to admit that even their Shirehorses spoof band makes me laugh.... I shall definitely be tuning in then!
I was in the Warehoose when I heard New Order being mentioned on the same show, all I could make out was that they were gonna be appearing with The Charlatans and someone else, so I thought they were talking about an awards ceremony, can anyone clarify this?
Seeing as The Charlatans are one of my favourite other bands, I'd like to know what's going on, and we all know Tim's a big NO fan, a possible collaboration maybe?

they are having thier own sort of awards ceremony and a member of each band up for the award will be there. remember the charlatans being mentioned and new order but ther was about 5 other bands mentioned too.
i don't think they're gonna play by what i heard, my bet is it'll be hooky only.
