Maybe he will go back to Marion after the gigs and Gillian will stay in New Order (if NO continue after the gigs)?

So many interesting twists and turns of events here...I am still wondering what Jake Evans thinks of this, given that BL have basically replaced him with Gillian Gilbert and become New Order.

Though, to be fair, with the exception of This Is Home, I didn't care for any of the BL tracks that Jake sang lead vocals on, they sounded like any Brit Pop band, whereas when Bernard took over lead vocals and handled the songwriting, it sounded more like what I was hoping BL would sound like...which is New Ordery but missing Hooky's bass (and a bit more guitar heavy).

Hmm.

Jake has formed a band called Orbit. I promote bands around wilmslow and no/bad l manager mentioned it to me.

Interesting. I wonder if this spells the end of BL?

I hope Jake's band orbit does well. His songwriting isn't quite for me...but he has a great voice and he seems like a nice fellow, so best of luck to him. I wonder how he felt, going from being unknown to playing in a band with three members of New Order and two members of Joy Division....

I wonder if Phil is going to do a Get Ready and WFTSC tour? Sorry I had to... :D

Get ready for the 7 outtakes tracks from WFTSC and a few more with the other 3 and Hooky. :bow:

I don't really know if Hooky being added to New Order again is likely. About Marion though, I heard they reformed back in 2006 or 2007 or so (although the only people from the original group were the singer and Phil; Jake Evans was in this reunion however). However, because of health problems for the singer at that time, it couldn't continue much

The point is that Hooky is ok with money these days. But he will join the guys and release a last New Order album. The Weather Prophet :hat:

Regarding Jake, whatever happened to Rambo & Leroy? I have their "Last one standing" EP (bought it long before I knew he would one day work with Barney!), it's rather good!

I've got this too. I saw them live at the band on the wall in Manchester. For a 3 piece they were great!

Rambo and Leroy is Orbit. They were great at the FOM-Festival.

Agree with your comments - great bloke - living the dream with Bl, however i think he has great voice - hope he gets the success he deserves.

He's surplus to requirements in New Order now innit? What with Gillian returning

Well, whatever Bernard, Steve, Gillian did behind the scenes which upset Hooky so much last month as far as control in the band... I assume making Gillian 25% of the New Order "Corporation".

Maybe Phil has little stock in New Order now other than as a hired hand, and if Bad Lieu has little future, Phil went back to a band where he had some control.

3 possibilities then:

  1. No NO after these two dates, so Phil's no longer needed;
  2. Gillian's back to her old job, so Phil's no longer needed;
  3. There'll be more from NO but Barney still doesn't like touring so there's eonugh time for both bands for Phil.

No - he is in the line up, it's Bernard, Steve, Gillian, Phil and Tom from what I understand.

I wouldn't mind if New Order became a three members synthesizer band :crazy:
