Burt - Alex Sabella. Who's now the manager of Argentina.

As the gig was being broadcast live, or so I thought, I reckoned the set list would already be published here. Couldn't get any signal during the gig so nothing doing while it was on.

As Shug says, same set list as Paris/Brussels.

Venue was packed and the gig went down really well with the locals, BLT and Temptation got the best reaction. Even those in the seats were vibing to BLT, all hands in the air and ankles akimbo. Visuals in place as in previous 2 gigs.

Bernard banter was up to the usual standard. Some lad kept shouting 'wanker!!', Bernard asked him if he'd been looking through Phil's hotel bedroom window.

No Tin Tin on this trip but there were a couple of young DJs who played just before NO came on and they dropped a Twist of Fate remix - not sure which one - at the end of their set. Gotta say it sounded boss and got a great reaction.

They're off to Brazil today, I'm chilling in Buenos Aires for a few more days. Beautiful city, then off to Santiago on Sunday to hook up with Wolfram and Hernan :uhoh:

Badge Watch:

Norbert - gave 3 badges to Dian at the end of the set for you, Julio + 1 so Dian is expecting you to collect them off her tomorrow night.

Andy Liddle took a couple of extra badges for Ed Symons and Tim Burgess.

Hardly gave out any to the Argie Order as there was no meet arranged but anyone who helped me with translations received one. All the crew and band are badged up and Gillian took a couple of extras for her daughters too.

Why's that then. Peronally I havn't seen them play some of these songs for a number of years?

This is a record, even for them, isn't it? Am sure we've not seen three gigs running, all the same. Two definitely, not three.

Guess they're even further restricted these days by the video backdrop too.

Perhaps they could do a second encore at the Troxy, just playing under a plain blue light - "songs we've not created a video for yet"? :\ohwell:

In Paris and Brussels Elegia was played totally live, with Phil and Gillian both playing the swirling keyboard parts.

From watching the BA live video of Elegia, it seems like they have now programmed the song, as the parts Phil were playing live on keyboards at Paris and Brussels are now sequenced and he is playing guitar.

Stll sounds good though. Sounds like the gig went really well. The band look and sound great. Bernard was having a great time.

Krafty and Age of Consent both have new videos.

I know you guys are griping about the set...but for the BA crowd, a large part of that set was songs they hadn't heard in years, and still only the third time that AOC and 586 have been played live in years.

I also imagine they played the same set again because it's their first show in a month and a half and they wanted to feel comfortable. They certainly sound a lot tighter and more confident.

Crowd sounds like they were really into it.

Its also the first time they have changed guitar strings 3 gigs in succession. :laugh:

just watched the Elegia/Crystal clip, Barney's voice sounds really strong right now. Better than when they toured the US in 05 in my opinion. As for Elegia, loved the guitar layers.

Here's hoping for some US dates in the spring, as the saying goes though, I'll believe it when I see it...

Just listen to the Paris gig and pretend it's the Argentina one, it is the same set list :)

I wonder will they make any set list changes for the Troxy gig.

But if it was a radio broadcast it is probably better quality than the paris gig, paris gig was very good also but a radio rip would be better

There was no broadcast linus. We had to sit through 2 hours of gay disco and hispanic babbling to find this out.

It was an amazing gig !

It was crowded, although it did little advertising (only FM Radio and social networks)

Very hot, lots of fans singing and jumping all night.

On the front, much "pogo", like the old shows from the 80.

Barney encouraged fans and asked them "more" with their hands.

In 2006, in an outdoor show there were nearly 20,000 souls, yesterday in a converted basketball stadium nearly 4,000, as did a lot of noise.

"Fucking fantastic audience" Barney said.

There is a saying... "there is no 2 without 3".

We have keep our fingers crossed.

Spent all night watching tube clips of the gig. First saw JD supporting Buzzcocks so seen them right throught to todays line up and have got to say that with the re sequencing of the songs and the new back drop, they look and sound better than I can ever remember.

There is a clip of 1963 and BLT and its really moving to see Bernard so into it!

apparently the radio decided on that same day not to broadcast it. some people told me they saw some professional video recording going on so we might have news soon.

my review will come shortly. my body still aches after doing the pogo all night long. in the meantime some pics (with reviews in spanish):

it was their own remix: AK47 Bullet Mixes it was strange because I seemed to be the only one around screamming the lyrics when this remix was on. it felt pretty weird, some people were even staring at me like "what the hell is he singing about?" :p :shrug:
