She must be playing them surely. There is a deep bass drone that you hear on the recorded LP version at any rate.

In the 80's she didn't. If you listen back to a lot of live versions, the snare count in is from the sequencer. Then she played guitar.

Now, with Phil there, I guess she is playing the keys.

Yup, she is playing the droney bass synth part that is on the album version, but was always missing from live versions, I think, as in the 80's she played guitar on LV live.

Interesting that Phil is playing the guitar part instead of her, since she played it originally.

Well, that ^^^ version wasn't bad actually.

At least Barney kept faithful to the original without sending his own vocals up like he usually does.

And yes, the guitars from whatshisname sound fine too - different enough but still adds summat different.
