WHAT A TUNE!! 
I had the Haas mix on the RIAD CD single [the one filled with rubbish Bugaloo mixes] but only just heard the New Order Mix today, [and have played it at least 6 times already] both are fantastic!
Makes me wonder really if there are any other gems from the Republic sessions unreleased... this track is better than many tracks which made it onto the album IMO.
Also if anyone has a high quality version kicking around I would be very grateful!
Whilst I quite like the half-nackered cassette rips that are kicking about, it would be nice to have a top quality one.
Yeh got the New Order mix on the Ruined In A Day cassette single, good stuff. Buggered if i know how to transfer it to my compooter though
There were meant to be 13 dates on the Republique tour, 1 for each song on the album, but there were only 12 songs released from the sessions. The mystery Republic cassette of early mixes that is much rumoured hasn't surfaced yet...

I understand that Regret and Young Offender were recorded with Pascal Gabriel producing before Stephen Hague got involved. Any early mixes of the other tracks are likely instrumental only. These were played to London Records during contract negotiations.

Perhaps he was saying Repub-bleak, which is more apt.
