Stephen Morris snubbed during speach by normal people

I don't kow if snubbed is the right word...but the crowd looks a bit stuffy and he looks, and it also appears that he feels, out of place.
Who can blame him....I've been to a few affairs like that. Not my kind of people.

Wow!
Despite loving the title of this thread I dont think it was a 'snub' more a question of
"Who?"
"Pop music, dear"
"Oh. How ghastly".
nice find, cairns.
but, yeah, 'snubbed' is totally wrong here. seems like everyone in the room was listening pretty intently, and responding well to his words.
and the two folks closest to the camera just look annoyed because there is a camera in their face.
yes, nice find, cairns ...but poor use of the word - hardly 'snubbed' as tarbox pointed out, everyone there was listening intently & responding well too.
the title used on this thread kinda remind me of how those tabloid journalists mis-reported & mis-presented a situation by using attention-grabbing headlines - poor show, cairns ![]()

Lib-dem I'm guessing
Poor Steve did look and sound a bit awkward and out of place..... but so would I if I was faced with those miserable bunch of cunts. Looked like most of them didn't know or care who he was and didn't realise he's achieved far more than they ever will.
First, appearance in GQ and now this... Steve is definitely rooting out for a posh environment... Here he is embarrased to say he was a drummer... in a pop band. He should have introduced himself as a co-owner of several businesses in Manchester some years ago, or a car collector. That would do them.

It's great he found it, but it doesn't show Steve to have been snubbed in anyway what so ever, which is what I think he means. I thought he came across well.
Still, I bet after the gig some lady went up to him to have sex with Steve. Gillian may have said no, thou.
During the speech all people listened to his word contribution and applauded at the end. What else should they do?

They should be screaming "I love you!!", throwing their knickers at him (women) and kissing his feet (men)... I believe that is the correct response to meeting any member of New Order

Its a shame no-one shouted "Play Blue Monday you cunt!"

I think we should put that on a 20 foot banner and unfurl it in front of them at their next gig.
Would also have been a better best-of album title than "singles", "total" or "international"
