BBC 4: How The Brits Rocked America ep 3 feat Stephen & Hooky

Final part of a series celebrating the success of British rock in America shows how the Sex Pistols and Duran Duran led new invasions in the 70s and 80s.

There a couple of small clips of Stephen & Hooky talking about going to America to record with Arthur Baker in the early 80s (about 40 mins in)..program also feat The Cure, Depeche Mode, Magazine, The Police, Culture Club, Gary Numan, Elvis Costello, and U2, etc

Just in case I left my speech open to interpretation Behind Closed Doors, I asked only those under thirty to vote for what they thought are the best to rock the US because that's who the BBC TV programme producers were presumably targetting the show at. It is a pity they had to spoil it all by caving in to U2, but there have been far worse TV documentary shows broadcasted in recent times. (The worst, in my opinion, being the 1999 Did Video Kill The Radio Star show on Channel 4 (UK), which failed to mention Depeche Mode's name at all, even though their early videos finished the band off in the UK more than any other artist...)
