Nice find. Great pic, Barney and Steve taking in Hookys latest legal letter while Gillian reads her daughters School Report.

I picked this up a few days ago. Truth be told it's a pretty dull Q&A featuring some inane questions but I suppose this is Q Magazine - champions of er, Keane. The usual stories regarding getting pissed recording Technique, losing money on the Blue Monday artwork and wasn't there an awful lot of gang violence at the Hacienda? get trotted out.

Here's the only interesting bit which I've transcribed below:

The elephant very much not in the room is, of course, founding bassist Peter Hook, not invited to join the current touring line-up of the band. Because of the threat of impending legal action from Hook, it was understood the band would not be able to talk about him. Today, however, they can't resist telling their side of the story. So what exactly went wrong between them and their former bandmate? "There isn't an easy answer to that really," says Morris. "It's like saying, What went wrong with your marriage?"

The decision to reunite New Order without him was, as Sumner puts it, "what is commonly known as a Fuck It Moment". For his part, Hooky is perhaps understandably furious, calling his former bandmates "dickheads" in the media and threatening to, "fuck New Order over in any way possible." A fact which appears to ensure that he is unlikely to return to the fold any time soon, if ever.

"When someone says they're gonna fuck you over," Morris points out, "it doesn't sound too clever, does it?" "And" Sumner adds, "it doesn't make you want to get back together with him either."
