First up - anyone recommend pre-gig pubs near Barrowlands for the Sunday night?

Second up - what's the craic with the venue. late bar? any clubs within walkin' distance?

Third up - I'v got two spares for Brixton on Oct 11. I'll only accept face value i.e. £25 each, no more, not interested in auctions or touting. Keep it within the Republic.

First offer gets the pair - email me at mark.appleby@ananova.com.

As far as I know all the pubs around the Barrowlands are Celtic pubs, especially on a match day. Last time I went to the Barrowlands, Celtic had been at home and the pubs were 'Keith Houchen' to coin a local phrase. Not sure what they are like but I suspect they are more in the 'spit and sawdust, wild west' stylee than your typical cosmopolitan city centre brasserie.

Don't know much about Brixton pubs but I think Al Jarvis may be able to help.

Cheers Mr D - the more spit and sawdust the better, I reckon!

The bar I'm gonna head for in Glasgee is McChuil's (pron: McCool's), which is on the way to Parkhead, but still quite central. Think it's a bit of a 'trendy' Celtic pub. Last time I was in there Ewan McGregor was sat at the bar and the girlfriend nearly fainted. Dunno why, he's only 5'5!Beyond that most of the pubs are - as Mr Disco stated - of the spit & sawdust variety. Celtic aren't playing cos the National team play the day before.

As for Brixton, I usually head for the Prince of Wales, left out of the station, next to Pizza Hut, although the Beehive has been touted as a possible meeting point cos it's closer to the Academy.

I guess we'll all make our minds up nearer the time?
