The New Order Cup 2012 Last 32 Tie 12: World vs Mr Disco

Technique's finest versus a slab of Replublican pop. Only one winner for me, but what do you guys reckon? Those with any doubts listen to the live versions and ask yourself what it was like to have Marbella, Barcelona, Corfu pumped out at high volume as part of the underpinning track. Magic.

World is one of the better tracks from NO worst album but doesn't stand a chance against Mr Disco

but 'Mr Disco' pishes all over the top of it

I love World immensely and have voted for it... in it's Perfecto and World In Action remix forms though. The original is a little dour.

Mr Disco, remember them starting with this at the SECC 89, someone trod on the heel of my shoe and I did not get it back until the end of the gig :)

Mr. Disco for me, gotta love the intro. But the whole thing is great it even tops Vanishing Point for me.

I like World though. It's one of the first New Order songs I'd heard I can remember being a kid of about seven hearing it on the radio and hating it. It wasn't until I became a New Order fan that I started to like it. Oh and I think the video is cool.

Yes, Mr Disco for me. In fact it is my fav NO song nowadays. Hope it goes "all the way" LOL.

Tough call for me, as I actually love World, but I had to vote for Mr. Disco.
