Here in Mexico we don't have any N.O. concert.... not much about the greatest bands around the world, and believe me there are a bunch of people who I'm sure would love it... I am seriously jellaous of yall ppl from the 1st world....:(

yeah, i guess NO only tour where they would sell records (their record company wouldn't shell out the money otherwise), and they only sell most of their records in europe and north america (and japan, i guess). although, i imagine they would sell out concerts in mexico city and guadalajara and maybe monterey!

by the way, my cousin and her family used to live in cuernavaca! (her husband's mexican) they now live in guadalajara. :D

i went to the yucatan and quintana roo when i was 7. (cancun, chichen itza, tulum and merida). that's the only time i've been to mexico. it was HOT and i was really shocked by the poverty (particularly in merida), since i was so young and it was my first time outside the US. now, it would be a different story since i've done a lot of traveling and orlando (where i've lived since april) is about as hot as mexico! just haven't managed to get back down there, or to visit pippa, enrique and the kids yet. maybe if NO play down there, i'll come down!

Hola Blue Smoke, Bienvenido al Foro! :hi: Y que bueno que podamos platicar sobre la mejor banda de la historia (incluyendo a Mana!)

I have just returned from Mexico. First but definitely not last time, being of Mexican stock myself. I have been to Guadalajara and DF. Fantabulous place! And good to hear that NO have got fans there as well, but don't hold your breath for a gig, our friends are getting very lazy lately.

BTW would you mind reducing the font you use for your name? Thanks. :thumb:

Always remember MES coming on stage at the WOMAD Festival in 1985 and announcing "Good Evening, We are The Fall, We are from the First World".

What's the big deal? I live in 1st world (well, sort of...) and NO never played here too! Hooky toured here with Durutti Column in 1996, though...

Blue Smoke, I know what you mean: NO have never played in my area either and I can't go to England or anywhere like that to see them (university commitments and all that). I wish they'd come here some time soon. OK, complaining over!

They played Belfast in early 86 (at the University).

:skeptic: Is there a need for a spanish forum?

Don't think so.. in fact, most of those are struggling right now, except the french and german ones.

Hola Senors & Senoras! I got stung by an ill-tempered jellyfish in Mazatlan, Mexico some years back, just after seeing NO play in San Jose, California...which might as well be the THIRD world...

You are right Nicos, there is a very sleepy Spanish New Order mailing list to which I belong (Actually they must have got my email from here) but not doing exactly a brisk trade. At most there are 5 or six regular senders and several others who write occasionally to ask whether NO are coming to Spain any time soon.
