Doesn't anybody listen to Warp artists, the most significant experimental electronic dance and beyond music indie label of the last decade???

Aphex Twin (Richard d James, also started Rephlex label))... Squarepusher (Tom Jenkinson) ... Autechre... Boards of Canada (i would think that many of you people might like them)... Plaid (latest stuff has def had an 80s vibe)... plus similar artists like Luke Vibert (Wagonchrist) and Michael Paradinas (started the Planet-Mu label)....

...what New Order did in the 80's, Warp did in the 90's... of course the talk now is that Warp is doomed, starting to show its age...

Yes, I listened to Warp throughout the 90's and now as well. Plaid and Two Lone Swordsmen are my favorite artists on the roster. I can't wait for the new LFO album to see the light of day.

I've been a big fan of Warp - spent some time living in Sheffield and attended various electronica-related events in my time there - some great musical moments! The Warp ethos is similar to Factory in a lot of ways I'd say... for example the DJ Mink (if I recall the moniker correctly) 12" was distributed in North England orginally out of the back of Rob/Steve's car I believe etc. And the use of Designers Republic to develop a very specific look & feel. The growth & popularity of the label was well-deserved I'd say. The record shop on Division Street was visited several times a week too!!

i myself was an fan of apx before the horrible last album a big fan of square pusher was well im very surprised no one mentioned two lone swordsmen

just in case you folks don't already know, Andrew Weatherall hosts a show on Groovetech London fairly regularly...you'll have to check their schedule (www.groovetech.com) for exact times and dates....all the past Weatherall archives are up including several live Swordsmen exhibitions....phenomenal dex + efx display of electro + techy rhythms.....i play warp shit on my show also (ask Jeff) also on www.groovetech.com this monday and every other monday from 10-1pm PST (groovetech seattle)

Weatherall is still king! ............(waiting for Huntsman to dispute this claim)

Thanks for the info, Biz. Weatherall is definitely king (with Hawtin and Garnier right there). I'll have to go check all that stuff out, including your show. Is it archived on the site?

click on archives or broadcast and search for Haywire Sessions or Weatherall or Two Lone Swordsmen for that stuff and i should still have a live set (dex+efx) from last year if you search for Robo.trash and look for Brian Go/Polar Frequencies.....not a stellar performance but some good tunes....finished the night with Perfect Kiss....

when you find the show, make sure to listen to Dean DeCosta's set...(Polar Frequencies -- me and my friend shane on efx, then Dean DeCosta, then Steven aka DJ Elevate....) that's the running order...i think my set is the first 2hrs then Dean played the most incredible minimal techno i've ever heard....after about the first 3 or 4 records he really got deep......
