Hooky should finish Love Juice

I remember reading interviews where Hooky explained why and how he finished Pictures in My Mind, mentioning how Ian told him that a song should never be left unfinished and that he believes it to this day. Shouldn't the same apply to Love Juice? I know the lyrics are crude, but the song itself sounds great IMO, and it would probably better than most songs in Lost Sirens.

Since finishing it with the rest of the band improbable, to say the least, I think Hooky could finish it with The Light. Not sure if fits his voice as well as Pictures, but I think he'd do fine.

Terrible idea. Ideally, he should try to write some new stuff with The Light rather than tarting up some half-baked jam co-written decades ago with his estranged band mates (with whom he's currently engaged in a fairly bitter legal dispute).

The Light have hinted once or twice that they might do fresh material so let's see what they come up with. Anything new is to be encouraged from either side. They're clearly capable musicians so I don't see why if the creative juices start flowing they couldn't put out an EP of original material.

As I've said before, I'd buy it. Same as I'd buy new stuff from the current line-up of New Order.

It'll live or die on it's quality... as all good music should.

Funny thing is, I had this Auckland gig on in the car today, first time I'd listened to Love Juice for twenty years.

It's not an unreleased song, it's a jam, same as Sister Ray and Do The Ostrich were. The lyrics were made up on the spot, and it's actually quite painful to listen to.

And all that from Hooky about Pictures in my Mind was utter bollocks, he'd forgotten all about the song until we gave it to him! Ian left books full of lyrics and ideas that were unfinished.....

I was at this gig but unbelievably left before the encore because they didn't do encores back then! Gutted!
