Firefox can't find the server at www.newoderonline.com.

Eventually those will be read only once I figure which version of the code is the more recent one. I might actually just trim down current NOOL to remove gimmicks and keep it simple.

So far I like these forums, can't beat custom made to be able to do all you want, but in the long run, this will allow easier work for moderators and that's all that matters.

If you type the names of the spammers, and keywords such as 'fake passports' etc into Google, then other forums (that are not New Order related) appear ... it's obviously not some NOOL member doing it. There seems to be other forums online that these spammers spam on. So it's not just these forums.

Nic, can u make the text a bit bigger its a tad too small.

I don't think it has this flexibility, but I will check what I can do.

Worst case I can enable the moderate post for new users.

As for closing the other one, I think I'll make them read only this week, change is hard for some people obviously, but they have no idea how much easier it will make the job of people trying to moderate this thing.

Ive finally been able to register and log into this site. It was my 3rd attempt and I still managed to enter the wrong user name or display name.

why make it so flipping complicated?

and the superior original site is now read only. superb!!!

i know im only one of the annoying little people but it seems the annoyed little people have been detered from this site (judging from number of posts and votes cast on polls).

Welllll... i suppose in a way it's good the old forum is now read only, means i don't have to choose between the two.You'll never beat the old forum's total uniqueness though.

Just wish this new forum would make up its mind whether if it wants to remember my log in. Some days it does remember then the next day it hasn't and i have to log in again even though i've ticked 'remember me'.

This forum does seem a lot quicker on my phone than the old one though, i'll give it that.

We'll get used to it, and people will find their way here I'm sure. I didn't like the last time NOOL changed its appearance, now I can't actually remember what it looked like before

Well it looks like most have made the jump and I for one thank all those responsible for getting NOOL back up and running without all crash bang wallops it was experiencing.

New Order Online is no longer a priority with its owner and the voluntary moderators have no access to the back end.

The forums are the only "current" version of the web site.

I think it's easier to organize the communication via a Facebook group but, of course, searching past topics won't be that easy. On the other hand, why do we need that weight of long-forgotten and old topics anyway? We all live now; the same questions will be asked over and over again anyway.

I've finally made it!

I had been trying for a number of months to log on, not realising that I had to reregister for the new forums. Great new forums, but it's a shame I can't keep my old joining date (16th June 2004) and posts counter (a modest but quality 785).

I keep getting a pink banner pop up telling me "Your message was reject as it was detected as SPAM!" whenever I try to edit a post shortly after making it. Can the webmaster do something to prevent this please?
