Anyone else heard the new Kevin Hewick track "Out of Order" - it's Kevin's view of the current state of New Order. Here's a sample lyric from the song :-

"It's no way to treat a legacy - to get bogged down in legality"

The new album "All was Numbered" is a kind of Factory Records concept album. It's available for download from Hacienda Records but is also on Spotify if you want to listen before you buy.

...I've always been a fan of Hewick's work - I love his early track with New Order "Haystack". Kevin comes from my home town of Leicester and used to play with an old school pal of mine Tom who has sadly since passed away. Kevin even compares Leicester to Manchester on the new track "Overshadowplaying" !

"Singer signed to label owned by Hook takes pro-Hook stance in a New Order themed song."

Wow, didn't see that coming 😄 I'm sure Hewick's a nice guy but this "Factory concept" album sounds like a ropey idea.

Or at least from what I've read of the lyrics/titles so far.

Each to their own however... I'm sure it will please some people.

desperate subject matter to be writing songs about, worse than ice queens and candy floss.
