Maybe it's become their new Blue Monday, the one they've played to death and need a break from.
Or maybe Bernard isn't a fan of doing such a high vocal so early on in the show.
That said, I've been listening to the rendition they did at No 6 and it sounds fine, really good.

There's lot's of reasons and they're all over the internet:
- Chappy lost the backing tape
- Gillian has no musical talent
- Hooky hasn't played it lately, and as Chappy dedicates his life to emulating him...
- The audience needs a potty break
I'm sure there's more.
