Wembley Arena 10.12.87 .New Order were "grossly unprofessional" lol

Went to this, 25 long years ago. We were sat right at the back of the hall, seemed like miles from the stage. Utterly frustrating having to be seated.

Love the bit in the review something about New Order still fannying around with their live sound at the Wembley Arena stage of their career lol

Missed the last train home and had to kip the night on Euston ( you still could in those days, you weren't kicked out into the night) Couldn't work out why a few other NO fans also stuck at Euston all night were singing Sister Ray...... Found out some time later NO had done it as last song of encore, we'd left at the end of LWTUA thinking it was the last song, grr

I went in shorts.

I remember being sat in Colchester McDonalds in the middle of the afternoon in shorts and people looking at me like I was mental.

Some bloke at Wembley also said to me, it's not AC/DC tonight mate (Angus Young reference).

Can still picture in my mind the audience down on the floor being flooded with the lights every time NO went into the chorus of Face Up[:)]

One of my abiding memories of this gig was when Bernard and Peter swaggered on stage tops off for sister Ray,I used to think Barney got a little jealous of Peters 6 pack, something to do with that 83 NME front page?

whip it
