BackToMine, your choice: What NO song?

Lame title for a topic, I apologise.

What I'm trying to say is that if you would have to compile your own Back To Mine compilation what New Order/Joy Division track would you pick? Remember that it has to be for 'after hour' grooving. Here are a couple of my options:

Mr Disco as track no1 or Your Silent Face as the last one.

This Time Of Night would be a very good choice also, I'd say,

17 minute version of Elegia as the final song.

Funny you should mention this because I did a bit of a marathon houseparty DJ set on the weekend and in the very late (early?) hours it devolved into a Back to Mine affair. Managed to slide both She's Lost Control into the mix and later, Ecstasy. I know quite a few of you don't rate this one, but it's got quite an entrancing late night groove.

mebbe quite an unusual choice but it hink its quite a mellow chilled track,, quite good for going to sleep to ;)

good choice DoN. Thieves Instrumental as first track....Avalanche as the last...Lonesome Tonight somewhere in the middle.....

Let's just say with me dropping Ecstasy into proceedings, I doubt I'll have Sadie Frost's kid around again in a hurry.

well, I would go with Thieves as well (but don't hold me to that, there's a strong possibility I'll change my mind by tomorrow! :D)

hmmm, back to mine...i'd say either every little counts, ceremony or elegia, probably.

can't stand thieves...i always skip past it.

I can't believe it! Thieves is perfect for chilling out, very relaxing (especially the long intro).

i'd end it with 'Leave Me Alone' or 'Dream Attack' and have 'Vanishing Point' in there somewhere.

back in high school, my friend tahira actually did a perfect imitation of thieves. she sounded half drunk/half retarded. and that's about how barney sounds in the song! :D (well, he was probably a little more than half drunk in reality...)

Leave Me Alone, Your Silent Face, Mr Disco, Vanishing Point, Atmosphere... oh sorry you said one song, well I guess I'd go with Atmosphere, why? well why not

I would actually want Atmosphere for the last track - Elegia for the first.

I think procession would have a good vibe, but then again, I love procession, so for me it'd have a good vibe on any album.

Gonna havta go wit Elegia (Fatty Boumbastic Elongated Demo Version) and maybe some of the Eternal...oh I jist dig that tune!!!

Elegia seems to be the most requested song - it would be totally cool if they put the 16 minutes version on the box... but I doubt that will happen.

Tricky one - too many to choose from! I think I'd go with Dream Attack at the start and Thives Like Us at the end.

whenever i hear the beginning of thieves i half expect to see don johnson and philip michael thomas walking by in their pastel suits. :D

Rumour has it that there is a dodgy cover version of Thieves Like Us doing the rounds, sort of Bob Mould meets Billy Bragg. Live in Manchester ;)
