Looking at festival options, would love it if they played XPN Festival in Philly area the weekend before that.....

Well, Osheaga is still new, but you can be sure New Order and the Cure won't be playing same day. The site is on the island thas was built for the 1976 Olympics, it's just across from downtown.
Should be enjoyable. But I must say I was surprised to see that, like I said, it's been 27 years since they last came here.
And yes, wrong forum lol.

Oh, him and I are already discussing about it, sorry.
We're wondering if it's worth the price to go see them complete last in a bunch of teenagers, we're getting old for that crap lol. Of course it would be blasphemy not to go, but I don't really dig festivals.

The webmaster returneth! I can't believe it either. Some of us are struggling to get on to the site though Spotnick. Otherwise I'm sure you would have had more welcoming posts on your reappearance.
1987 with echo and the bunnymen at the cepsum and i missed it so i'll be at osheaga for sure. i just did a little mixtape (by a fan for the fans) http://www.mixcloud.com/phillarochelle/new-order-osheaga-2013-fantasy-setlist-selected-by-gregor-samsa/ * j' aurais aimé inclure ecstasy, all day long, in a lonely place, heart and soul... but i had to stop it's already too long to look like a real setlist ;)

I'm so surprised also. I've never seen New Order live and am seriously thinking of going, but I'm not young anymore and the idea of going to a festival makes me sick. On top of that, I have no one to go with. I'd be an old person alone in the park among young people. I'd feel like a loser.

If you don't go you will always wonder... Find out what time they are on and just turn up for that (though some of the other artists are good). Stand near the mixing desk during NO. If anyone even notices you they'll think you're road crew or something. Or alternatively dress really whacky and people will just think you're the crazy one. People seem to expect a crazy one somewhere in a festival crowd...
