Just wondering why, when there's loads of info about individual Joy Division recording sessions i.e. where and when various versions of songs were recorded, there's comparatively little info available regarding New Order's time in the studio throughout the years. Any idea why this is ?

Joy Division had a only few recording sessions and all of them were short (for instance, they have recorded "Unknown Pleasures" in 4 days and "Closer" in 12 days). On the other hand, New Order spent months (years?) to record some albums at several studios. How can someone catalog (or even remember) this?
