Bernard regards the video to Run as the best of New Order's vids. Totally with him on that one.

Also re: Run , it is " a tan like for this for nothing" not "town" .Had always been in the "tan" camp so good to hear Barney confirm this.

This is the track that is said to have influenced Fine Time? listen around 1:13 or so...

Yeah can see some similarity in the funky bassline in that Funky Nassau tune to Fine Time. Didn't spot it on first listen but it's there if you open your ears.

Always thought, out of all the songs on Technique, Fine Time was the one that worked and sounded best live. Never was the biggest fan of the track but it did work well live. Hook's bass on it seemed to have a stadium sized attitude to it in the live setting . It sounded massive at Birmingham NEC in 1989 and have a few FM radio recordings of them doing it in the US summer 89 tour and it just works great live. Barney and/ or Steve say in the LEAF thing that they've thought about bringing it back into the live set. That'd be interesting . I think it would work better than Round & Round which is the only song from Technique they've done live in recent years but has never done much for me in the live setting.

Have to agree with what Barney and Steve said in the chat about Run never working well live. Barney has said this before about Run. It's a shame the song doesn't work live as it 's a fantastic tune.

Not much I haven't heard before, but I liked what they said about remixes. How they imitate bits from remixes by other people in their live performances. Nice to have that acknowledgement and evolution.

Well I missed that rather measly little thread. If the title had been more like: Bernard and Steven will be interviewed in Shoreditch - with an audience, in early November, it might have caught my eye a little more.

I probably didn't click the link and figured it was just another of the many interviews that had been already given in the past year.
