What's the length of Temptation 12"

The CD version i've got runs in at 8:45 which seems to tie in with Retro.

Which is correct?

well i've measured my temptation 12" & it is definitely 12 inches long.

Well I think the song is a little bit too shy to tell you, but I can confirm that it is 12" long.

My 12" version of Temptation is in fact 7" long. What's the deal? Did they choose to release some songs on this smaller format, perhaps as edited versions? Next you'll be telling me that you can actually listen to music on a 5" metallic disc , smaller than vinyl records. A "compact" disc if you will.
