I Don't think they're connected - just a coincidence in timing. By another curious coincidence, the Volume mix of Confusion was also on the Remix CD I just mentioned on the previous thread.

...and I commented on that thread before reading this one.

Volume One came out in 1991, though. It appears to contain samples from Confused Beats from the original 1983 12", adding organ, saxophone, an 808, and extra percussion, but I think they actually used the acappella from the Minimal/Confusion '90 release and built a whole new track.

Fuck! What does it all mean? Con-om-fus-ars-ion used to be my favourite mix, but it's embarassingly dated now. C'mon, kick it! Ladies and gentlemen..

But more importantly, do we know that NO definitely recorded & finished a version of Mission Impossible? Cos if they did, I really want to hear it! ...Oh I've just answered my query on Google by finding the Power of Independent trucking blog from 09 which has the premixed Get Ready. I guess I missed all that (didn't have a PC in '09!). Unless it's available...somewhere else?

Apols for exhuming this old thread again, but does anyone have a copy of the RARs from the abovementioned Independent Trucking blog post? Both Get Ready pre-mix batches?

I missed these at the time and that blogger's since been legally 'persuaded' to remove most of his rips.

might want to download soulseek and look on there, as you can find all those tracks there.

Yeah, that's the one I mentioned. It's so obscure even the Light never unearthed it and the title might not be genuine.

I know this thread is older than an Italian politician but I've just remembered Freebass had a track 'The Tower' on Myspace circa mid-naughties. Can't find it now but I seem to remember it pissed all over the EP and LP. They also did the Tube theme in the same period, which may've been the same track.

Hmmm. Had no idea about that 'The Tower' track or its use on the (presumably relaunched) 'Tube'.

I've done some digging online to see if I could find it. I couldn't.

Apparently, it was on the Freebass MySpace page, along with another instrumental demo called 'Sugar Daddy'.

Anybody got ripped copies of either track?

Yeah, I found that info but not the actual material. I do remember it was pretty good - nice and rocky after all that pap remixing - and stronger than the official stuff. Mind you, the Freebass album is up there with Stupor Highgays as The Album I Know Least Of All. Maybe the wait was too much, and too much of one thing is bad enough.
