"511" is the title? Why don't they call it "tbc." or "tba." ?

Hey, that's not a bad cover actually. Having been to this gig & thus been drenched and up to my ankles in mud, the image is quite appropriate!!

Still no idea what 5 11 means - did anyone ever work out what 3 16 referred to anyway ??

OK. For the 1001st time, here is the explanantion. 3 16 features the Taras Sevchenko recording. This video shows some cyrilic text at the beginning; more specifically three cyrilic letters that look like the numbers 3 1 and 6 (in fact, an "epsilon" which is a mirored 3, a "i" and a kind of "b" with a horizontal dash on top of it, connected to the vertical line of the b, which makes it look like a squared 6).

Lets just hope its not delayed by 4 days yet keeps the title convention.... now that would be unfortunate :nono:

But Jarvo, do you really imagine that Barney was forced to walk through that muck, like the rest of us???

Actually, I'm quite glad that the shoes are stained...every time I see them, it reminds me of meeting up with all the fine folks at Chandos, Finsbury, and whatever that pub was we all ended up at after the gig!!!!

But then again...I am just a big, sentimental jessie!!! :cowboy:

Is that really an explanation?

Is the cyrillic text a word? Is it a photograph? If it is a word, what does it mean?

i've just read something on "the other site" about the bonus features on the Finsbury-DVD (posted by Al J.). Is this officially confirmed? Or how do you know? Sounds pretty cool to me. cheers

4.45 should know more, cos he was involved with the project, but I spoke to the bloke whose baby it is mid last week and, basically, there's gonna be additional footage of the Olympia and Apollo comebacks, plus the Ally Pally gig. Can't remember the tracks exactly but they're a good selection - including In A "Ian Curtis, Rest In Peace, Man!" Lonely Place from the Apollo. And the likes of Ceremony, Confusion and Turn My Way.

Also, there's some interviews with fans from before the Move Festival taken 'in conversation' with the afore-mentioned Mr 1645hrs.

... sorry Al, did you just conjur some 'good news' there?

I think that deserves a thread of its own. Did the Six O'Clock News do a turn on his keyboards?

An interview with NO fans sounds very refreshing. I'm quite excited ... I'm going to have a digestive.

The three letters are part of a longer word/sentence displayed on the frontwall or inside the Ukrainian Home in New York (should check it on my DVD). . The cameraman zoomed on it without any apparent reason (you know how dodgy the music videos in the 80ies could be...). It probably didn't mean anything really interesting, but it gave some inspiration to Peter Saville.

strange...on the one hand they release such crap like "International" with obviously no intention to make it any interesting, and then they put out this Finsbury-DVD with loads of interesting (!) bonus material...

Not something from the "other site" though.. Allen posted it on Ceremony (or here, can't remember).. I didn't put it in the news here before.. shame on me :shy:

I'm really looking forward to this DVD, since it's the only thing of the Get Ready tour I will see since they didn't bother touring in the east coast of North America..

I've always wondered if that was because of 9-11...!

There is danger of this getting predictable Benny, just like New Order sets ! Alex paying out before the Finsbury gig was the last straw almost (seeing as he had True Faith and Track 11 !!)

Gone are the days when NewOrder artwork was as much as a surprise as the tracklisting.....

its the "nets" fault you know!!!

Er, yes.

I note too that The Village, Vanishing Point, Dreams Never End, Perfect Kiss and Round & Round are also - all - not part of this DVD.

Hmmm. Conspiracy theory?

Hey Nic, you are so getting scooped, the other site has a photo of the Canadian DVD cover. I like it alot more then the UK cover. I bet every country might have their own cover. I dont know how to put photos on this form, so you will have to check it out yourself. I think you know where to go!

I'm really looking forword to the dvd, Since International is a dud, And the Box set only has 2 out of 4 CD's that I'm interested in.

I'm sure Finsbury is going to sound good, but I don't think it will be as fun to watch as the Sweden concert, But I still cant wait for it.

Does anybody know where you can order the Canadian DVD?

hmv.ca has it listed for $30.99...with the picture! also lists the Everything's Gone Green CD Single

Interstingly, hmv.ca is using Nicolas' montage for Retro in their website.
