Just wondering, and too lazy to look it up, is the host the same person who did the breathy narration on neworderstory?

EDIT - just answered my own question. It's not, though when listening I like to think it is :)

I wasn't expecting an American voice on the BBC in a show about Manchester!

Which reminds me, I hear you guys are trying to kill off the BBC or something? What is that about? Don't do it!

The people are not trying to kill off the BBC is the Tory government. I for one will stand up and fight to keep the BBC

It's not

I'm so glad it's not. I was a massive fan in '93 but even I felt physically sick listening to that pretentious BS. The funniest bit is when she spurts, 'It's all about the music. It's that simple' - shut up then, you silly bitch. Started listening to this and then switched off. The words 'flogging' and 'dead horse' came to mind.

It was a bit wearisome same old same old but good on her for making the effort.
