so were the FLACs in the other thread from MP3? FLAC is a pretty quality medium if it was straight from the wavs....

and, uh, the new link doesnt work, even if i paste the entire line --- [:(]

Yeah, the original link was indeed flac files, but they had been made from mp3's from a remix kit. The new link was the original .wav files which would make it easier for someone to have fun with and make something, well, different, for their own amusement. However, out there somewhere in cyberspace one of the 'precious ones' reported me for, ahem, copyright infringement! I expected it this time to be honest, but am disappointed nonetheless.

I've said it before, i'll say it one last time. Somehow, the 'mystique' (most of which is just utter bollocks) of this wonderful four piece beat combo has led to a lot of preciousness. Most of the ones who claim to have been followers from the beginning are so dead set against sharing the rare(ish) stuff that they can't help but burst into tears if something new falls into the public domain. (Not that these LWTUA multitracks are new). I've never shared anything online that has had an official release. Multitrack packs certainly never have. At the end of the day nobody is gonna get rich making their own version of anything Joy Division or New Order have ever released. Believe me, neither band is that significant in the grand scheme of things. They are both just bands. Like every other band they have their disciples. Some of whom look down on the rest of you. Anyway, hey ho!

Despite semi-popular opinion, there isn't a great secret treasure trove of lost gems. No underground vault full of unreleased material. What there is though is enough for people who are true fans to be kept interested and engaged, even though the newer stuff is about as far away from the older stuff as you can get. It's a great shame we're not allowed to share it.

That said, in my life, no band has brought more pleasure or caused more excitement or stirred more passion than New Order. They made me feel so extraordinary! ............... but now, i'm done! (Restless anyone......lol)

That's a two shame muffin. Some knobs are so petty mindless. I would have liked to have had a play round with the stems and see what I could come up with.

Never mind. Thanks for trying.

That's a shame it was taken down but I hope it doesn't affect the chances of more contributions.
