Actually find it funny that i've been waiting for what seems like forever to hear Singularity but in the end thousands of BBC 6Music listeners who hadn't been waiting forever to hear it heard it before me.That is actually quite funny.

I've decided to make do with Restless, the Restless mixes and Plastic until the end of the week. Not long now and don't see the point in spoiling it.

Absolutely.Though hearing Singularity didn't feel entirely new as the live version has been around since last year of course.I'm going to try and avoid hearing any other tracks now til Friday.Going to be like trying to avoid the football scores except multiplied a thousand fold.

Ah, this one is great. Really up to date "classic" New Order.

This is the one I've listened to most on youtube over the past 12 months & most looked forward to hearing the 'clean' studio version.

And it's as good as the studio version of Plastic had led me to hope.

Currently touring a CD of:

  1. Restless RAC (youtube rip - download 'pending'!)
  2. Singularity (youtube rip)
  3. Plastic (epic download from Warners)
  4. Restless (full single download)

This will keep me going until Friday, when the full album comes in...

Now I only have to find a way to purchase the extended versions without lumbering myself with a stack of redundant vinyl...

Here's an MP3 of it with the radio host cut out to make things easier

So what do you guys think of the additions since they played it live?

I can't decide if it's gotten better. (Sorry Rorschach) The bass has been swapped from going during the verses to the chorus. I miss it, but the chorus needed something extra. The lyrics are now "the friend's not here", to fill in a gap. Sounds weird to me but I will get used to it. There's more Bad Loo style backup singing which I'm not excited about.

Something I don't really like is a few words in the song have been digitally stretched out. I don't get why they didn't re-record the vocals if they wanted Barney's voice paced differently. The most noticeable time it happens is at about 1:25 on "I can feel you close to me", the 'feel'.

It's still a good song overall. I like the last third of it in particular. (even if "presence" sounds like "crescents" now)

Driving bass and drums kept from the live version, thankfully, as they're ace.

This is fantastic. Can't wait for the studio version - production on this record is perfect.

Incredible song. So is Unlearn This Hatred. Couldn't be more impressed!

A little disappointed with the unnecessary electronic noise that randomly appear through out the song. Still a great track. Cannae wait for the CD and deluxe vinyl set to arrive.
