Had a reply to my complaint (sent at 6am) with new links.

First link led to Restless - despite being labeled as Music Complete - and I now have three copies of this.

Second link led me to Music Complete - and then told me to bugger off because site was busy.

Tried again straight away - now downloading an ENORMOUS file.

The HD download is 1.4GB and takes approximately 48minutes. I am currently on 0.6GB.....

I'm finally downloading what I take to be the MP3 version (148MB) after a number of emails to customer support, lots of failed links and repeated downloads of the Restless MP3. I hope that the HD download will someday appear on the account dashboard in the official store because even though there is another link in my email that I've yet to get a successful download from, it seems a bit hit and miss with these emailed links.

Out of interest, I still don't have a working download link for the Agoria mix of Restless which I'm not overly bothered about because it's shit.

Ah, something now appears to be happening.Downloading.... 27 minutes left....

I have problems as well. I ordered the box back in June. No problems with Restless and Plastic downloads, but no email on the download of the album for me yet, the store says I don't have any downloads either. Still says my order is pending. I checked my credit card and it's still a pending charge there....ugh.

I have had the download for Music Complete (147 mb), that was after numerous emails.... the other download links sent (twice now) still say I have exceeded the limit though all I have done is tried to download them. This is just stupid and very annoying.

I've got 2 emails with 5 links all claiming to be "Music Complete HD Audio Download". So far, 2 have downloaded, both being Restless, labelled as mp3's, however only one works and I already received it weeks ago. The other 3 files are still to download as they are taking some time. I do hope they're not all duplicate HD files as it's taking an age and will be a waste of time.

At least they seem to be working I suppose so I shouldn't really complain.

Finally downloaded, converted, uploaded to cloud, downloaded to phone - off for a three mile walk and a bit of shopping with my headphones glued to my ears.

For those still waiting, don't lose heart. I suspect that their download site is getting crippled by the HUGE spike in traffic this last twelve hours. If you get two links (like I did), go to both of them. One is possibly Restless and the other will be the album. The Zip file is 1.7GB and the entire contents (when opened) are around 3.4GB.

Piss up... Brewery...

Like a lot of people on this thread, also can't download the HD Audio version as it says "Maximum download reached"... WHAT???

Incompetent idiots...

And they wonder why people pirate stuff???

Sorted here.I think i have the HD version. It's 1.4GB , is that the HD one? Playing in WinAmp with headphones. Freaking amazing sound in HD, unlike nothing i've ever experienced when listening to music. Not sure which preset is best yet.Trying a few different ones with each track - Rock or Full Bass & Treble or oFull Bass or Full Treble or Dance or Laptop/Headphones (guess this one as i'm using headphones right now) or Classical or... god there's so many choices and then you can even twat about with the settings with whatever preset you choose..

I posted this on the New Order Facebook page this morning in a response to a post saying "Its here!":

"Except it's not "here" for the suckers who shelled out £70 for the box set which supposedly includes a download of the album. Give me my download you bastards"

Mute have responded:

"Sorry about the trouble with the box set download of the album, there was a technical issue this morning. This has now been fixed.Contact customerserviceteam@warnermusic.com if you still can’t download!"

The 3 remaining files I had eventually downloaded after about an hour or so. They were zip files, 1 containing the mp3 versions of the album, and the other 2 containing the FLAC files. I extracted the first HD folder fine, which contained the first 7 tracks. However, half way through extracting the second folder, my device decided to switch itself off. I retried this, once back up and running, but to no avail. It told me that the file was now corrupt.

I tried to download the file again from the original link I was mailed, but it now will not work. I only downloaded each file once, but it wouldn't work a second time. I've had to email customer services and explain this to them.

All the original files were labelled as HD downloads too, so I had no idea which was which.

Now I'm just waiting. Most probably won't get them until Monday now. Grrr.

Bit puzzled now.I thought i'd downloaded the HD version but have i? The whole album file in total is 1.4gb so that has to be the HD right? Each track is 96Khz 24bit Bit Rate 4,608 kbps Audio Quality Perfect (Lossless) but it says they are Flac files... Should it state they are HD? Buggered if i know.

That's correct. The FLAC files are the HD download.

The store has just resent me two simpler files, citing they were having problems (again) today.

One is lossless FLAC and the other mp3.

I'm sorted now.

Thanks for the clarification BazG.

This HD sounds very very good.Really rich and textured sound.Except, anything else is now sounding flat as fuck in comparison.

Got home to be greeted with a further 3 emails offering me the download (that makes seven in total!) all of which work thankfully.

Just as well really because my actual CD didn't show up...

You all need to learn to use the interwebs.

Got 2 email, clicked on links, pasted in the codes, downloaded the regular wavs and then the HD wavs,

NO ISSUES

you guys might want to stop using IE6 and Windows ME

Are the extended versions on this download, or is t just the 'regular' LP mixes?

1 1 like

Oh great. So the downloads are the 'regular' mixes. That means the only way to get the extended full length mixes is on physical slabs of vinyl? Thanks Warners. What about those of us that like to listen to music when not welded to a turntable at home?

Looks like it's torrents and Intertubes. Jeez.

Apparently, at some point, the extended mixes should be available digitally also. We'll see.

I must admit I'm disappointed that the Limited Edition 2LP (Clear Vinyl) I pre-ordered from the official store did not arrive in the post either yesterday or today. That is quite poor as they've had months to plan deliveries and post them slightly early so people would receive their physical copies on release day. Being the first proper full-length New Order album in 10 years it's just.... yeah... not wonderful. What rubbed salt in the wound for me was being in a record shop yesterday and seeing literally piles of the clear vinyl edition but there was no way I was buying it twice. Incidentally, I am not talking about the Deluxe Box Set which we were warned would be delayed (fair enough).

I have experienced similar problems with numerous other "official stores"; I ordered the latest Leftfield album from their store and it arrived approximately one week late and their communication was vague and crap - the e-mail reply equivalent of shrugged shoulders. Similarly with the recent Chemical Brothers CD, I got it a good few days after it had been delivered/displayed on shop shelves. Why are 'official' stores so rubbish at delivering stuff on time? I'm certainly going to think twice and order elsewhere in future.

Record labels really do need to do right by fans who have handed over their money months in advance. Those on the record label technical side need to ensure the infrastructure is in place so when fans place a pre-order in good faith they get the product on release day or at the very least an decent explanation why not.

Otherwise I fear exasperated fans really will just shove two fingers up to the whole process and appropriate the music by 'other means'.

I now have 9 digital downloads available for me ffs. extended ones to come in November too!! blimey

On a more positive note (for the band) I notice that both the Limited Edition 2LP (Clear Vinyl) and the Deluxe Vinyl Box Set have completely sold out on the official store.

No word on if they'll be pressing more copies... if they're both supposed to be limited then that's doubtful?

New user here. Just thought I'd chime in on the bit about the remixes. I sent a question to the New Order store about them and this is what I was told back on August 12th:

Hello ,Thank you for getting in touch. We can confirm that if you've ordered the box set you'll receive the standard digital album (as MP3 and HD files) on the 25th September, then when the box is dispatched in November it will contain a download code for you to access the extended versions (HD and MP3 versions).

Thanks,JasminYour Warner Music Customer Service Team

Soooo....just have to wait a few months (which kinda sucks). I bought the box set and can't wait to get it. I'm really diggin' Tutti Frutti and People On the High Line.

Long time since I saw “the server is too busy” here!

I hope we can get non vinyl extended versions (whether cd or download) because it appears I no longer own a turntable and haven’t for many years. Ideally everything including all remixes would eventually be available at the iTunes store surely - why would they not be? I haven’t had any probs with that, touch wood. Loving the album. Just can’t get enough, quite literally as I have only managed 2 and a bit listens yet. Busy day and I’m not one for headphones. But I am in its grip, in a good way. Long may it continue 😎

You know what the real problem is here? The record companies, after losing out to amazon, Apple and Google are incredibly late to the digital distribution game so they try to catch up but won't pay to do it properly (just like Hooky is too tight to pay for a support act!) So they massively underestimate the demand and end up letting their loyal customers down. Not only that but they imagine that it is going to be simple to set up a storefront online for each label and artist that will cope with widely varying spikes in demand without any serious problems. I mean, it's not like anybody has ever managed to do it properly before is it? (I'm being ironic here obviously.)

I've finally got my HD and MP3 downloads and I thank Warner for that (and how does that work? Is Warner the international distributor? Are they handling Mute's delivery platform?) but I do hope things are smoother when the extended versions are released.
