edspess wrote: You know what the real problem is here? The record companies, after losing out to amazon, Apple and Google are incredibly late to the digital distribution game so they try to catch up but won't pay to do it properly (just like Hooky is too tight to pay for a support act!) So they massively underestimate the demand and end up letting their loyal customers down. Not only that but they imagine that it is going to be simple to set up a storefront online for each label and artist that will cope with widely varying spikes in demand without any serious problems. I mean, it's not like anybody has ever managed to do it properly before is it? (I'm being ironic here obviously.)

I've finally got my HD and MP3 downloads and I thank Warner for that (and how does that work? Is Warner the international distributor? Are they handling Mute's delivery platform?) but I do hope things are smoother when the extended versions are released.

Warner is the strongman over many imps. You know it is Warner when your YouTube channel gets a dent as soon as you play one single note of any record under their control.

I am wondering if the live shows will get hit when folk begin to upload in November.

Lol i got a £0.40 refund from Amazon and an apology that my CD arrived late. But it didn't arrive late - it dropped through my letterbox on Friday morning. The refund is because the actual price on release day was £0.40 cheaper than what i paid for the pre order.

Positive news... I received my copy of the green 12" of Restless today. That is nearly two weeks ahead of the release date. Thank you New Order Store.

I've cancelled my pre order from Piccadilly Records now and ordered it from the New Order store as you're the second person on here to say you've got your copy.

Incidentally, after I ordered it, I was promised instant downloads of both the Agoria and RAC remixes. I already have them, so not bothered by this, but this was part of the email I got soon after:

Item Restless - Limited Edition 12” Green Vinyl (Pre-order - released on: 09/10/2015 1 £7.99

Item 1 (Pre-order - released on: 09/10/2015) Item 2 Restless (Agoria Remix)
Item 3 Restless (Agoria Remix)

Only one download came via a link, which was surprisingly the Agoria Remix. No RAC mix was sent.

It's all a bit crazy. It's not like it's just gone on sale.

They're not the quickest at sorting things out are they? If emailing the store and Mute hasn't got you a response try contacting them on messenger, if you have it, or commenting on one of their Facebook posts. Sometimes you might get a reaction. It helped in getting my downloads sorted when I had a problem with them.

After much complaining. I finally got a response. The package is shipping and should be here by Friday.

Lets hope it works. Still don't have a password reset yet.

Still a fucking shambles for me. Despite paying £65 for the box set with the downloads in HD and MP3 of the album, my download box only has two mixes of "Restless" and not the extended LP (or ANY version of the album) as MP3 and it came out days ago. Can anyone help me out with MP3's of the extended versiosn? Warners email is a black hole.

Do you mean the download page for the extended mixes only has Restless twice (which aren't even the extended , box set, version? Can't quite understand what you are saying here.

edit: You download the HD and MP3 versions of the extended versions from the Mute page stated on the small card with a download code that you should have received inside the box set, not from NewOrderNow

I'm about 400 miles from home with a parcel from Hermes waiting in my porch. Good thing I have someone I live with otherwise it would've been there for several days waiting to get fucking stolen.

When I ordered "Restless" I got the MP3's from My Downloads inside the NO Merch Store. When I ordered "Music Complete Fancy Schmancy Box Set" the downloads aren't inside the NO Merch Store but on a seperate download card inside the physical box set? That's inconsistent. Also, good thing my box set - which was abandoned outside my front door when I was hundreds of miles away - didn't get stolen.

When I get back I'll check the box set. In the meantime I guess I'll wait to hear it. Grrr.

Yep, that's correct. You'll have to wait to get home, open your box set and look for the download card which directs you to a Mute download page ,not the NewOrderNow store, with the extended versions in HD and MP3.

Do not use warners controlled new order site. They are truly dreadful.they messed up my restless 12" and now they will not answer me after messing up my t shirt order with an Ed Sheeran mug[clown]. Of all the things to send me instead a fuckin Ed Sheeran mug, maybe I can use it as a piss pot

7 emails later and still no response, they are a disgrace and obviously never heard of customer service. How the hell do you complain about these bunch of tossers?

I think I may start sending the same email to them 100 times a day to get a response. Luckily my box set did arrive, it's the first thing they have got right.

Unless it is a store exclusive then I would avoid and go elsewhere.

When I had problems with downloads of Restless after the problems with the album and previous instant grats, the store just decided to ignore me. They admitted that they were having problems, but obviously they didn't know how to solve it so just buried their head in the sand which pissed me off even more.

So I slagged them off in a post on NO's page and I got a reply from Mute:

"Hi - please contact mute@mute.com and we will take care of this immediately. Thanks!"

This I did, and after a few days I received working links to all the current available downloads.

However, Mute seems to be selective in their replies. It depends on who you get.

I made a few enquiries over the poster, then one day someone messaged me and offered to send one to me if I gave them my address details. I excitedly forwarded them on, but then nothing materialised and I just felt let down by them. Don't get someone's hopes up and then take the Michael. I just think through when and where I place my orders now. I won't use the store if possible.

Basically there's no guarantees with them, it's just the luck of the draw, but try and email Mute. You never know, they might pleasantly surprise you...

Due to there (apparently) being no HD Audio version of the upcoming Tutti Frutti single - only 'Audio Download' is available for pre-order - I'll probably purchase the CD elsewhere this time around.

The NO store is a good idea but Mute need to work on it and make it better. I am rather surprised after so many years of digital music being the norm, fans have had such poor experiences.

That said, if the store suddenly decided to offer an HD Audio version of Tutti I would most definitely reconsider where to spend my cash (hint, hint...)

I'm in the same boat.

My boxset never arrived. Ordered within minutes of it going on-sale. Got the delivery confirmation email but the parcel never moved from (or arrived at?) the depot.

Emailed all week. Frustrated beyond belief!!

Wow i'm beginning to realise i've been lucky with the NewOrder store after reading some of these stories.Box set arrived on time without any damage, the mp3 and HD downloads of the extendeds went smoothly (though yeah, those were from a Mute page not the NO store), the HD and mp3 downloads of the original album went smoothly back in September on release day.The singles slipcase arrived on time only very very slightly damaged. The Restless CD arrived on time. The only problem i had was i never did receive the Restless Agoria mix HD (or was it just mp3 that one? Can't remember now) download - it's still sitting there in my account but i can't be arsed to chase it up, i have it on the CD single.Wary of any future dealings with the store though, my luck has to run out sometime.

I kicked this thread off, and I did have much to complain about. My downloads of the Restless mixes *never* became available through my account — someone at Warners had to send me them after I complained by phone and email (and although I no longer need them, the mixes are STILL showing as 'pending' on my account). What's more, my order of the boxed set NEVER appeared on my account's order list, which seriously worried me for a while in case it had vanished into the ether like some other people's orders on here.

On the other hand, the album downloads did come to me over email automatically on the release date, and the box turned up in the post at my place on time last week, despite the store's continued insistence that my order didn't exist (which underlines the cruddiness of their systems — even when talking on the phone to Warners staff who were checking through the on-line system, they couldn't confirm that my order existed, but it must nonetheless have been in there somewhere, as my box WAS eventually delivered)! None of these subsequent successes excuse the spotty performance of the store, though, and clearly others have their horror stories to tell, as a quick read through this thread shows. It's pretty clear that the Warners-run on-line store is a shoestring-run crock of an organisation that manages to successfully fulfil some of its orders while making an utter dogs' dinner of others. I'm no particular fan of the iTunes store (give me old-school CD and vinyl sold from a bricks and mortar store by staff that love what they're doing any day), but the iTunes store is a model that runs smooth as silk compared with the cowboy Warners operation, which is odd considering iTunes had been running as a successful business for years before Warners came along with their on-line operation. All they had to do was copy what Jobs & Co had set up, but obviously in the current climate of declining music sales, they didn't want to actually put any real money behind it, so, surprise surprise: a) it's done on the cheap and b) it's crap.

Music Complete is an absolute triumph in my book, as are the 'Boxtended' versions and package. I just wish it hadn't been such a grind for some people to get the damned thing...

I complained to Mute and it was sorted straight away, got an apology even fromWarners. So if any of you are still having problems I would email Mute with your store order number.

although i had my problems with the store.

i would take this anyday over anything from apple, for itunes.... that bloated software junk that keeps asking for updates, and is a slow molasses like program, with a horribly cluttered interface. *#*$#*_$*_#*#*

unfortunately they have some exclusives that force people to use their ancient software.

On the other hand, it's ideal for me because although it may have the odd glitch, on the whole it’s practically instantaneous, with no worries about the law breathing down my neck in a few weeks/months/years. Have internet connection, make purchase, receive item. And no faffing with vinyl. [:)]

that doesn't do any good if you bought the boxset.

the download codes were inside the boxset, so if you didn't get it. no luck.
