I'm just gonna say it............ I think this is the best album they've ever made! Seriously!!

I absolutely expected this album to be a complete crock of shit. I was sooooooooooooo wrong! In fact it's the complete opposite of that! Ok, i've binned the opening version of Restless, replaced it with the full length version, and hoofed Unlearn This Hatred and The Game to the kerb. Well, come on, every NO album needs a bit of re-shuffling, eh?

What is more fettlers, The Hookmeister has not been missed. In fact, maybe, just maybe, this is the record they could have made years ago (and by that I mean before Get Ready) if he had been, erm, Hooked then. It REALLY hurts me to say that because I LOVE Hooky. The man is a God to me. One of my few heroes. I'm just saying!

I remember back in the eighties being a New Order fan was like hiding in the shadows, and being dreadfully serious. Now, finally, we can dance in the spotlight! Music Complete is a euphoric triumph of a record. If anyone makes a better record this year, or any time soon for that matter i'll be amazed!

The only thing I find controversial is your dislike of Unlearn this Hatred. Shocking, lol! The only track on the album that I like more than Unlearn is Singularity. And I don't think The Game is a complete turd either.

After my 20th spin, I made a Cd of Music Complete omitting Restless but kept all other songs in same running order. Somehow Restless, though a good song, doesnt seemed to belong...[ohwell]

Oh, I also now think the synth beat floating around The Game is far more Pet Shop Boys-like than Superheated.

Superheated def suit some finale prom night scene in a John Hughes movie as a reviewer mentioned before.

Hi, long time lurker and fan since 1983, all I can say is that it is as good as anything they have done before, not sure when I well got bored of playing it, it has been on during a football match, travelling to work, in the shower, in the car, it will be on in a few minutes when I walk to the shop from work on my dinner break [:d]

It's probably too new to rate it against some of the Holy Grail of New Order albums such as PC&L, Lowlife or Technique. It is however a brilliant album and will be interesting in a years time where I rate the album. Currently it's my 4th favourite. To me not a bad song on the album. It flows brilliantly from start to finish.
