It's a toss up between Tutti Frutti and Unlearn this hatred. Sorry I had to squeeze the last two do to 10 option max. Only but a fool is NOTHING BUT A FOOL, my bad I can;t fix it.

Curses! Meant to vote Academic but hit Nothing but a fool by accident. No matter, way too hard to choose a favorite. I'd say there are 6 songs that rotate among being my favorite at any time (Singularity, Plastic, Tutti Frutti, High Line, Academic, Unlearn This Hatred). All good tunes. Even Superheated, which I really felt was a clunker on first listen I've grown to like. One thing I don't like on Nothinfg but a fool is the lead bass -- it's very reminiscent of The Wedding Present's Watusi album, which is distracting to me

How strange, the Wedding Present sound is one of the things I like most about it!

I quite like the Wedding Present. For some reason the sounds bugs me here. I'll get over it.

Tough one this. To me not a bad track on the album, although The Game is my least favourite. Current favourites Singularity, Nothing But a Fool, academic, Tutti Frutti, I could go on. Vote at the moment goes to Nothing but a fool. Will change, need another poll in a years time

My favorites are Unlearn This Hatred, Singularity, and Nothing But a Fool. But Academic is so good, and then there's Superheated. Can't forget People on the High Line or Tutti Frutti. Restless and Plastic are classics. The whole album is great!

Oh sorry my bad, it's where Only but a fool, I was just waking up, and forgot the title as I did it and looked at a misprinted track listing somewhere. Too bad I can't fix that option.

Superheated. One of the best pop songs ever written. By anyone.Ever.

Barney's a genius.

[Verse 1:]

Sometimes I wake up and the sky is grey When you're not here by my side I see your make up on the shelf And a photograph of someone else And it breaks me up like I don't exist Did we ever love, did we ever kiss? Do you ever listen to what I have to say? As life unfolded that one short day

[Chorus:] However you want it, it's my desire Girl you've got me hanging like a bird caught on a wire We are so different, yet we're the same Things that I remember, that I wish I could change

[Verse 2:] Sometimes I wake up as angry as hell I feel deserted, I feel unwell But it's not your fault, no not at all I was the reason for our downfall Sometimes I wake up when I'm alone As angry as hell because you're gone

[Chorus] However you want it, it's my desire Girl you've got me hanging like a bird caught on a wire We are so different, yet we're the same Things that I remember, that I wish I could change

You want your life back, but girl I'm not a thief You told me that it's over and that you were gonna leave

Now that it's over (x8) It's over, it's over, it's over

What's the point if not all the songs are available to choose from?

I went with Nothing but a Fool, as I think it's the best track.

My favourite, however, will likely rotate between any number of them. Superheated would be in the running, The Game - perhaps not.

If polls are limited to 10 options, I suggest a redo, dropping Stray Dog. I appreciate the track, but it's probably the least likely "favourite" for most fans.

I really like stray dog, the music is great as is iggy, though the wierd gurgling noises are a bit ofputting, better than superheated

Singularity, is such a awesome track.... I hope this one has a bunch of different mixes in the future...... The one thing that sticks out for me on this record is that none of the songs are ones that I loved so much that I played em over and over, this is the one record since PCL that I mainly listen to the entire record all the way through.... and each song has grown on me. Singularity stuck out from the rest, for me, but now I've found whats good about the Game and Unlearn This Hatred.... like I think at first listen, and I do mean the first time I skipped through all the songs looking for a "Round N Round" or Perfect Kiss in there, I was a tiny, tiny bit let down...... But, once I realized thats impossible and that Tracks like those will never be reproduced by anyone, I listened to it again and thats when it clicked for me.... I'm glad that rather than it be a record with 1 or 2 really good songs and a bunch of fill, that is maybe the most solid record they have in its entirety, So with that said, Awesome effort!!

What no love for Restless, it's really a decent song, not the best but still worthy.

Yeah not a single vote for Restless. Tutti Frutti in the lead a vote ahead of Singularity with Academic in third place. It's like the New Order Cup on the old NOOL board this.Anyone remember that? Think Temptation won it, surprise surprise though I think their was a couple or more tournaments and Ceremony might have grabbed victory in one of them.

It's an excellent song, musically and lyrically well crafted. I appreciate the theme as well.

People are probably just more excited about the shiny new ones.

This is a ridiculous poll. How the bloody hell are you supposed to pick a favourite from this album?

I voted for Restless because its needs to get on the board. Perhaps not the strongest song on the album but a real grower and I like it a hell of a lot more now than when I first heard it. Phil's guitar (I'm guessing) at the end is very good and overall it's a good tune. The subtle synth is really nice and overall the song has that beautiful melancholic feel to it that mark's out the great New Order songs.

If the album was taken away from me and I could keep only one song, I'd possibly choose Stray Dog. It's great because it's so odd. I love Weirdo and Everyone Everywhere so something like Stray Dog will always hold a lot of appeal, even though as someone said earlier, it's possibly one of the least New Order-sounding of all the songs on the album. The least New Order-sounding song on the album to me is Superheated (more Electronic meets The Killers) but it is still a good tune.

The Game is possibly the only weak song on the whole album. Everything else is either good or fooking brilliant. Singularity, Tutti Fruiti, People on the High Line and Unlearn the Hatred are all top drawer New Order.

Perhaps not THE greatest album they have ever released but to release something of this quality at this stage in the band's career is outstanding. We can only pray there will be future albums.

It has grown on me a bit when it's part of the album, it sounded weak on the radio to me. Also, when the chorus kicks in I always think it's going to go into 'Lets Go'.

Dunno why.

Still listening to the album and as with many New Order songs, the more you listen to them, the more you hear going on in the background in a very subtle way. Today's current favourite for me is "People on the High Line" and there is a beautiful piece of Hooky-inspired bass at 03:41 into the song. He is gone but is certainly not forgotten.

Nile Rodgers will smile when he listens to this song. He will love the Bernard Edwards-inspired bass that features heavily through out as well as the fact that the song is a nod to Chic.

My vote is on Singularity. I love the whole album but that song is sticking in my head the most.👍

Pleased to see Nothing but a Fool doing well. Surprised a bit by Stray Dog crowding mid-pack, also. Of course, these may continue to shuffle as weeks go by.

What's the current ranking in the UK store?

* Restless and Plastic are neck and neck really.I'm going on the popularity bars for each song and they're the same.Is there another more accurate way of seeing which is more popular?

Same goes for Stray Dog and Academic. And same again for Nothing But A Fool and Unlearn This Hatred.

The Game is well behind at the bottom in the popularity bars.Disappointed a little to see Nothing But A Fool struggling in the relegation zone , but the season has a long way to go, Brian.Superheated has had a good start to the season and is more than holding it's own for a Champions League place.

Nothing But A Fool seems a lot more popular with Americans than Brits... hmmm

I've been thrashing Tutti Frutti and Plastic followed closely by People on the High Line and Singularity. My ranking:

  1. Tutti Frutti
  2. Plastic (although it's got a more 'timeless' sound/production than TF)
  3. People on the High Line
  4. Singularity
  5. Superheated
  6. Nothing but a Fool To me Superheated has echoes of a Monaco song, which may or may not contain some irony.

You can click to sort by popularity even though the bars may appear equal.

I voted for Restless - it could equally well be Superheated, if the vocals were by BS, not that BF’s vocals aren’t fabulous, and there was a separate option for Superheated. Maybe a live version would have BS vocals? And I love it as a whole - somehow or other it reminds me of the Technique era.
