Two of the mixes we've heard before (Takkyu Ishino & Agoria) but this is the first commercial release for the others.

Thanks Mr NotAMod.

So Tutti Frutti (Takkyu Ishino remix) and Restless (Agoria dub) were the two tracks exclusive to the Japanese box set if I remember correctly (do I?). Although the Tutti mix was also on the JP 12". A couple of quid for these in WAV is perhaps better value for money than £70+ for the box. But maybe I'm not a proper fan 'cause I didn't buy the box!

The Purple Disco Machine remix was the exclusive DL track from the Stray Dog beer mat.

The Game (Mark Reeder Spielt Mit version) was previously only available as a 3.43 edit from places like Beatport

Academic (Mark Reeder's Akademix) was previously unavailable.

Have I got this right?

Slightly off-topic, but I only realised recently that Takkyu Ishino is a member of Denki Groove whose Fallin Down track has had two remixes from the Other Two (as mentioned by Helene's Friend in the French forum). If anyone wants to hear snippets of those remixes (and you live in countries where the track isn't available), it's possible to change the country on your itunes account. So where there might be a UK flag down the bottom RHS of your itunes, you can chage it to a Japanese flag if you want to listen to 90 second clips of those remixes, or Japanese bonus tracks in general. I believe it's possible to buy from "foreign" itunes too, but it gets messy...(pre-paid credit cards required I think)

I suspect this mix of The Game is about as good as that track is ever gonna get.

Oh they're actually all on YT now:

Fair point. One of the reasons I gave up being a vinyl completist was the slew of endless mixes with only the occasional gem. I can't be arsed this time around.

First impression when i saw this news was that it reeked a little desperate of stringing out Music Complete a bit longer or as long as possible.I mean, it won't be long before it's 2 years since the album was released. But The Game remix by Mark Reeder i liked on first listen and the Academic and POTHL ones.

Correct.I bought the Japanese cloth wrapped box thing but had only ever played the Takkyu Ishino mix of Tutti Frutti once and maybe that wasn't even in full as i was a bit OD'd on Tutti Frutti remixes by then.I did and do play the Agoria dub of Restless a lot though.

Thought Mark Reeder's mix of The Game was going to go into a piano cover version of Chi Mai by Ennio Morricone when i heard those first couple of notes at the start .It's a pretty strong remix though, a very very different and interesting take on the track.

Thanks for the heads up on this.

Not that impressed. Glad its digital only though, i would have had to buy the cd/vinyl had there been one. Hopefully this is the end of the MC remixes, some good ones and plenty of shit ones!
