Yeah, RHCP have changed quite a bit since my heady sixth form days of moshing to 'Give it Away' Think it's all pleasant radio fodder, but wouldn't go out and buy it. As for the sock idea....you'd catch your death in Glasvegas going out like that!
I'm fine and dandy anyway, though I really do thing Muffy would kill me if I came anywhere near a karaoke machine again. Think that was my first and last time....:D

Yeah - it's ok, to be honest I didn't think it was as good as the reviews suggested. Love STory's the big standout. If you want a decent dance album I'd look no further than me man Felix Da Housecat and Kittenz and the Glitz. I know it was released last year, but i bought the re-released copy a couple of months ago and it is superb. I can honestly say not a single album released this year has 'done it for me'. Sasha's was excellent but a bit too 'pleasant'. other than that nothing at all.

Got myself Kittenz and thee Glitz last year - agree it's a top album but gutted I missed out on the extras on the re-released version.
probably not worth paying the extra tenner for them to be honest. A nice addition none the less

just one last note on this if i may....this aint your daddys RHCP! They have changed alot, no more socks on cocks routine...they've only gotten better as they've gotten older. Zephyr Song is a great melody 
i used to LOVE the RHCP around the 'mother's milk' era. in the last few years i really got sick of them, but this last album (or what i've heard of it, at least) seems to have redeemed them in my eyes. agreed, zephyr song is a great tune.

Sheesh, hard to remember what were the hits this year.. my vote would go to Blurry by Puddle of Mudd, but I doubt it will do it, and Island In The Sun is one of my favorite for 2002...
Sometimes a single is released early in January that is so breathtakingly brilliant that nothing released in the rest of the year stands a chance of bettering it. It happened this year. The single of the year? The Chemical Brothers' "Star Guitar" wins hands down. How good was it? Norman Cook (the world's best remixer) was asked to remix it and he turned it down because he couldn't think of a way in which he could possibly improve it. The video for the single was breathtakingly brilliant too.
Underworld's "Two Months Off", X-Press and David Bryne's "Lazy", The Libertines' "What A Waster" and Pulp's "Bad Cover Version" deserve a mention, as do all the singles by The Streets.

YES! I love the new Underworld...Little Speaker is awesome just like TwoMonthsOff and my favorite Luetin. If Underworld can jam live with sequences and electronics, why can't NewOrder? NewOrder's inability to truly integrate electronics into their live show baffles me...how can electro-acoustic pioneers be so fucking dim witted when it comes to live electronics? Get with the program or die old, fat, boring men....looks like this process has already begun....
