New songs

The 4 lads and gillian are busy by now plunking , humming , and hooting ,and putting together a new album . Just for us .They always think of their starstruck fans of their spectacular songs first. Not management or contracts or other band's fans . No ,they have a symbiotic relationship with us . We do nothing , they work and slave away and the songs are always incredibly interesting ,and all we have to do is hit play and repeat Can it get better? Bet on it

is it so? Or just wishful thinking? Doesn't make a real difference, actually. We all know finishing the album will take them about 7 years.

They only write and record in winter apparently, so the album could be out as soon as spring 2019.

I can’t wait.

Let's see and looking forward to it, i still think it will be 2 to 3 years before anything comes out but I could be wrong

Would have thought we're more likely to get another live album, this time of the set they played at Manchester International Festival before we get any proper new songs - the fact they're wheeling that set out in Turin in the summer makes me think they'll be getting their mileage worth out of that set before they start recording anything new.

Spot on michael, i am meandering with Mel C in a dory going down the Colorado thru the grand canyon and wishing, dreaming and hoping . If NO have travelled a bit over the holidays, and are urged a bit by the record company to try some studio jamming and they make sure bernard is supplied with some phenomenal very old wine for lyrics by summetime, then voila, new album ,,#11, by Christmas. Got my fingers crossed

Ok, wishful thinking and optimism are not the only ingredients for songs. Remember, they are in business to make songs and music is in their blood, even if they have other interests, and, they are not so old that they can't put out more songs, Plus, maybe their kids will demand they work harder and smarter than ever before. Also, if Mute makes them comfy and happy and asks them politely to maybe put 2 or 3 more albums out before 2022, then they will do it, because they have integrity . And if Mute would buy each of them the first flying cars that come out ,that would be an extra incentive . And even though they should be the most popular band around, and they don't care about that, they instinctively and unknown to themselves, want to subconsciously outdo every one else , and as usual the new truly phenomenal great songs will be overlooked by so many that are not paying attention.And so, logically , new order is destined to be busy soon.

As my mother said last time I jizzed the carpet, thanks for clearing that up.
