Just a heads up about this set of BBC programmes.

There's a rather nice segment in episode 3 about JD, NO, Factory and the Hacienda, which includes a recent Hooky interview and a small archive interview with Wilson that I hadn't seen before.

It's available on BBC iPlayer here:

However, it also looks like it is on BBC4 at 12AM BST tonight.

Any one know how to record this so I can keep this for posterity? Or, alternatively, anyone planning on recording it and would be kind enough to share?

Cheers.

Thanks.Yeah, hadn't seen that clip of Wilson before or that Hac footage.Nice to hear Procession used and also AoC towards end of segment.

Have to disagree with Hooky that they only did BM on TOTP once it re-entered the charts. That TOTP appearance was when BM was first climbing the charts.

So did anybody manage to snag a copy of this?

If so, can anyone help me out?

Cheers!

Um, do you not have a video recorder/tv box with recording facility?[:)] Record these things yourself?

Anyway, had an hour to kill on rainy Sunday afternoon so had a go at copying the Manc sections of that Smashing Hits episode 3 from my tv box to laptop.Had to find the programme again on iPlayer.Hadn't watched it all on initial viewing the other weekend so hadn't know there was much more about Manc stuff, Hac, Mondays,Roses etc (and also Guy Called Gerald) at the end of the programme.

Well, i don't use that tv box to laptop gadget very much so it's good to remind myself from time to time how to use the thing. It's remembering which cable goes into which socket i always struggle with.I recorded the clips with MPEG 2 so the file sizes are pretty big but better quality than WMV which i previously sent you that UK Arena thing in some months back. It's currently sending in WeTransfer but it's gonna take a while (55 minutes remaining as of this minute) but check your email later.I'm not sure if you meant you'd have liked the whole programme but i only bothered with the Manc,Hac, Hooky, Shaun Ryder, Wilson etc sections.Hope you get the transfer.Enjoy.

Many thanks.

Just the Manchester clips are fine.

Yeah - I have a TV box, but no way to transfer to my PC for safe storage. Have lost stuff on TV boxes in the past, so don’t really trust keeping things on them. Also, once you miss the programme being shown (which I didn’t in this case) you can’t record from iPlayer (unless I’m mistaken?).

Anyway, cheers for this - I shall download in a bit, once I’m home.

Ta. Yeah - picked up your PM.

I've had that issue with certain posts being marked as spam. I've never quite worked out what flags certain posts as junk.

A DVD of Bernard 's 24 minutes on star test , and another DVD of the '93 montreaux show , and a DVD of '71 evening with pink floyd ,including green is the colour would be nice .
